CuddlyCorey Posted April 20, 2021 Posted April 20, 2021 Not sure where to post this question, sorry if someone asked already. I've tried googling and aside from some old reddit posts...What are your creative ways to set up the custom match tables in Universe mode? I've tried standard stuff like 20% each, or like 10%...But, it just becomes very repetitive. And I still rarely get a title match on a regular show. Can this be fixed? Quote
El Guapo Posted April 21, 2021 Posted April 21, 2021 The best thing I ever did was turn off automatic rivalries. All I really want from my 'Universe' is to be able run through a show or two with some interesting matchups. With rivalries turned on I was getting the exact same matches every show. From what I hear that's how WWE TV works these days, but then that's not for me either.... 1 Quote

Title matches on a show are rare in general. You can always edit a match that includes a champion (participants only) and it will still maintain/record rivalry specific progress and scenes. As far as the table itself for shows, mine is intentionally repetitive because that is how the show is structured on TV, and I try to recreate that as much as possible (ie: Mostly one on one matches (60+% - Unlimited), spinkle some tag team (20% Limit 2), occasional triple threats (5% Limit 1), and other multi-man matches are much more rare (at 1% Limit 1) If by repetitive, you mean the participants in matches, that's something you'll want to nudge the game against by using the Allies/Rivalries when editing your superstar. In my Universe Mode, I try to nudge the game to move towards whereever the televised product is going. For example, if Drew McIntyre and Lashley are feuding on TV and Lashley wins the championship, I bump Lashley to #1 contender in-game, and make them level 5 rivals in-game. I then either wait to see how they end up feuding in-game or I can nudge it forward by setting up a callout promo in the show to get the ball rolling for them. Anyways, I love that you posted that here. Because I would love to hear what fellow mod addicts are doing with their match tables and Universe Mode setups. Quote

I've basically done what you have listed. I guess the title matches are rare, and I just need to suck it up and create/edit my own. When you say "level 5" rivals...I"m assuming rival 1-5 go left to right? Or, am I doing the complete opposite? LOL Quote

I just meant the most intense rivalry, which would be the left most slot. But, now you have ME wondering if I have that backwards. (LOL) I remember debating exactly this topic back on the official forum at launch. Quote
