Checkerboard effect in renders when using transparency

Hi guys.

I'm modding Creation Studio objects to enhance the quality of my CAWs and notice the in-game render engine creates a "checkerboard" effect on semi-transparent attire objects, which greatly reduces the quality of the character render. This appears to be tied in with the lighting / how shadows are rendered, as the only workaround I've found so far is to turn off shadows - a sub-optimal solution.

I've also tried playing with the 00398 in Misc04_arena file to switch out different spotlights / IBL configurations for the CAW area, but haven't found a combination that works.

Has anyone experienced this before? And Is there a more optimal workaround for this?
