Riggan Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 (edited) I'm having an issue whenever I use a wrestler who has an advanced entrance configured where the titantron displays full screen. If the guy walks out first everything is fine. The entrance will play out as intended, with the titantron video displayed fullscreen at the interval it was configured for. But, if the guy isn't the first one out there are problems. Whether he is someone's opponent or partner, if anyone comes out before him it screws up his entrance, and the tron video will freeze for a moment, then start looping every few seconds. It'll still go fullscreen when it's supposed to, but the video still freezes/loops. This only happens when a wrestler is using the advanced entrance with a fullscreen tron effect. Here's a video example. First entrance is fine, as Batman comes out first. Second entrance around 1:15 showcases the problem. Opponent is already in the ring, and the video freezes up/loops as Batman walks out. Edited December 21, 2020 by Riggan added video example Quote
El Guapo Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 This won't help you in the least, but I have the same problem - at least you know it's not just you! Quote
mattfick Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 it could be an issue with the length of the video? Quote

It depends on how much RAM and VRAM your computer has. Also, it could be that the original video (before it was converted to .bk2) was in a format that the game doesn't like very much. Variable bitrate, frames per second, etc.. Quote

My current rig is stacked pretty well, so I'm probably good there. The video was rendered as an mp4 before the bk2 conversion, at 29.97 fps. Does the game like CBR versus variable? Quote

I've had trons that had problems like that before and I fixed them by creating new ones from a different source. Length wasn't an issue, though, but my system is rather high-end. Quote

My current hardware is overkill for this game. But, you've given me something to think about. The source videos I pull from the game seem to be 29.97 fps, so I usually stick to that when making a custom one. But, the bitrate is one thing I haven't played around with. I might try a different format as well as CBR and see if things improve. Quote
Riggan Posted December 22, 2020 Author Posted December 22, 2020 Eh, no dice. Tried rendering my custom tron in uncompressed avi format at CBR before the bink conversion and no change. Also tried different variants in mp4 and mpeg/m2ts. Tron plays fine if the guy comes out first; freezes/loops if he comes out after anyone. Quote
Riggan Posted December 25, 2020 Author Posted December 25, 2020 For anyone who might be following this/have a similar problem/care (or not care); I've monitored my hardware resources while running the game on 4K/ultra settings and tried Royal Rumbles/8-man tags/entrances of all kinds, and not once did my CPU/SSD/RAM/VRAM rise above 45%. I've also cut the custom tron down to just 15 seconds/6MB (much lower than the stock tron I'm replacing), and it still does the same damn thing if the guy doesn't come out first. So, it's definitely not my hardware and the video isn't too long. Have tried multiple formats/CBR vs VBR and always the same result. if anyone gets any progressive results through trial and error, please post here. Thanks. Quote
CaW Life Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 this also happens to me using default trons Quote
