Anyone able to remove this prop from cutscene with hex?

Hi,

I am trying to hex edit this TV prop out of the cutscene. The cutscene is evt pac 3611 from 2k18 and the prop in question is 0112 (interview tv) which contains a texture called bg_tv.

The prop in question has a black screen texture, so the game is pulling this WWE image in from somewhere else. In a backstage brawl this tv screen would show the modern day RAW logo.

I am including a link to the evt pac in the hope somebody can figure out where the prop is located in the hex code of 0fop.

Thanks for any help!

This prop will not be located in the evp or evz file. for an entrance. Its not a prop the actors interact with so it wouldn't be in the file.

If you just want to remove the prop from the cutscene, you can just remove the 0112.pac file from the pac\prop folder.

Got it, makes sense.

As it happens, I have now learned how to mod the texture shown on the tv screen - the textures are located in pac > ingame > weapon.

So rather than remove the TV, I have just injected a texture I want it to show. Win win. Thanks for your help though.

Great find! Which pac file within the weapn folder contains the texture?

It depends on which show you are playing. Each show has a texture that can be rendered over the tv screen, there is also a generic WWE logo one too. Standard backstage brawl is the modern RAW texture, cutscenes in CAV use the WWE logo texture, and if you go backstage during another show, it will show the texture for that show.

Its all the pacs that begin with W600 etc. Sorry am not at my PC right now so cannot tell you exactly.

I'll use this in CAV, so would be replacing the WWE logo. Will start digging around in that folder. If you recall the specific pac file please DM me - thank you 👍
