RatedR77 Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 (edited) I downloaded a couple of mods from Community Creations inside the game. But how do I install Renders and movesets to them? Some of the wrestlers names are in CCT but they are not the same as the ones downloaded from Community Creations, so when I install a render on, lets say, The Great Khali in CCT, it does not apply on my downloaded mod from Community Creations. Only Custom installed wrestlers that have been installed via CCT using pac files etc. is being updated in the game when I try to install Renders etc. using CCT. Some of the downloaded CC wrestlers are not even listed in CCT. How do I add Renders, movesets etc. to the ones from Community Creations?? Appreciate any help on this! Thank´s in advance! Cave Waverider Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 First you need to understand that Community Creations are not mods. CCT will only allow you to replace renders of existing wrestlers and actual mods, not community creations, as these work differently. Created Superstars get their renders via a screenshot that the game takes of the created wrestler when you save them in Create a Superstar. That said, you can edit and create .pofo and .moveset files for your created wrestlers with Data Editor and inject them into the game with CCT (you'll have to use click on CAWS in CCT to access them) no problem, just as described on the Installing Mods wiki page and the Data Editor Tutorials. Note, however, that some things like Wrestler name and other things are ignored for Created Superstars as they have their own Data for severtal things that you can change in Create A Superstar instead. RatedR77 Posted September 11, 2020 Author Posted September 11, 2020 Thanks for you reply! So it is impossible to add your own image as a profile picture for the created wrestlers a.k.a. downloaded from CC? Really sad if that is the case, I really like the render mod, looks a lot better. Quote

It isn't completely impossible, but not with the tools we've got at our disposal. You'd have to figure out how to encrypt, edit and recrypt your save game without compromising it's integrity/Hash (otherwise the game will see your save game as corrupted), figure out where the CAS screenshots are saved and in which format and replace them there. If you figure out how to do that, please code a tool to make it easier and share it with the community (and yes, if your abilities and knowledge are on the level to figure that out, they will most likely be adequate to code an appropriate tool as well. ). CAS renders are basically screenshots saved and encrypted within the save game data, as opposed to renders for in-game superstars/mods which are saved in game files. If your CAS renders looks jaggy or low-resolution, you can also try to set your game to a higher resolution (by the way, you can enable DSR on Nvidia or VSR on AMD video cards to be able to set resolutions above what your monitor can display, search the web to see how to do that) and highest in-game image quality settings, edit your Superstar and re-save it, which may make it look much better depending on the settings you're running by default. RatedR77 Posted September 12, 2020 Author Posted September 12, 2020 Thanks for the info, I didn´t know it was this complicated. 🙂 I guess I have to stick with the games render on those then, and add renders to the others. Thanks for your help, appreciate it! Quote
RatedR77 Posted September 12, 2020 Author Posted September 12, 2020 By the way, one question, aren´t the Mods that you can download from Smacktalks or 2K Modz created inside the game?`? Or are they created outside the game? If they are created inside the game, how come they work with renders? Newbie question, but I just want to understand how it works. 😊 Quote
Cave Waverider Posted September 12, 2020 Posted September 12, 2020 No, as I said, mods aren't done that way. Mods are created in a way similar to the way the developers create the in-game wrestlers with third party 3D modelling tools and what not (just that modders don't have access to all the actual tools the developers use and usually also don't have access to capture data, which makes their work harder to what an actual 2k dev would have to do). That's why good mods look way better than anything you could create with the in-game create a superstar sandbox (and sometimes even better than what the actual game devs have come up with). Quote
RatedR77 Posted September 12, 2020 Author Posted September 12, 2020 Thank´s for the explanation! I completely agree that many of the communities mods looks way better than the in-game original wrestlers. I guess they are lazy at 2K. 😊 Quote
