tfergii88 Posted August 14, 2020 Posted August 14, 2020 (edited) Hello, as the title mentions I am having trouble importing any renders or trons to all characters using Custom Character Tools 2019. Fortunately, I am able to import the most important files in my opinion (ch pac files, movesets, and pofos), correctly loading the chosen modded superstars into WWE 2k19. However, when attempting to import the renders & trons I receive the pop-up message, "Couldn't inject dds file. Please make sure you run this application as an administrator". I do not believe it is the save directory or game directory location as previously mentioned the characters are able to be imported using the pac files, moveset, and pofos. If it helps, I have chosen to run the application as an administrator when CCT is closed, checking the previously unmarked box. I am not sure what to do next, I am attempting to do this while WWE 2k19 is unopened. I appreciate any help in the future! Edited August 14, 2020 by tfergii88 Quote
Cave Waverider Posted August 15, 2020 Posted August 15, 2020 It seems that CCT isn't able to edit the files or create backups. Check the following: 1. You have the latest version of CCT. Use the ?->Check for Updates function in CCT to see if there is any new version available and update it. 2. The game and Steam aren't running when you try to inject such files. 3. The game directory and save game directory are set to the proper locations in CCT's Settings menu. If not, set them correctly and restart the program. 4. There is a folder called backup in the CCT directory. If not, create it (or possibly reinstall CCT). 5. Try to temporarily disable any security/antivirus/antimalware programs you may have, run CCT and see if it works. If it does, you'll have to add exceptions to your security/antivirus/antimalwarte program to allow CCT to run and access the files. 6. Perhaps your Windows account has read and write privileges to the directory the game is installed in and the directory CCT is installed in. Try to right-click on Custom_Character_Tools.exe , Properties, and tick Run this program as Administrator if it isn't already ticked. Also click on the Change Settings for All Users button and do the same. If you can't do that, ask your system administrator to elevate your windows account privileges accordingly. You could also try logging in with a full Administrator account (like the hidden one called "Administrator" by default if you have access to it) and see if that works (search the web on how to do that). If that doesn't work, you can try instaling CCT and/or the game to a directory on a different hard drive that isn't your OS boot drive and that you are sure your windows account has full read/write privileges for and see if that helps. 7. Create Backups of your game directory and use Steam's Verify Integrity of Game Files (Right-Click on game in the Steam list, click on Properties->Local Files) functionality to have Steam re-download any potentially missing or corrupt files and see if it works after that. Not sure what else you could try. Please let us know if you manage to get it working and what exactly fixed it for you so people with the same problem will be able to find it in the future! Quote
tfergii88 Posted August 24, 2020 Author Posted August 24, 2020 Hello, I was able to try everything minus re-installing CCT. Unfortunately, I was not able to fix the CCT to upload renders. I am not entirely sure how to 'fully' uninstall CCT, when I re-install the directory's are already in place, unlike the first version. Thanks for your help regardless. I wonder if i'll be able to figure it out in the future. 1 Quote
