mattfick
hello, this is my first post here, ill try to be as detailed as i can. i just spent about an hour injecting renders to various superstars both in-game (installed modded attires) and modded superstars (and their alternate attires). i used cct just like the tutorial laid out. booted up the game, everything was fine and in place. i close the game to install another character, pofo, moveset, entrance, theme music. upon reboot, i noticed most were gone, a few only had the main attire render. has anyone else had this issue? if so, what was the cause, and how was it solved? thanks in advance! Cave Waverider
You did inject both the A and B renders, right? Assuming you did, check if all the render files are in WWE 2K19\mods\CCT\renders\pac\menu\win\Assets\wwe19_singleread\texture\ssface\custom_type*\ , (where * is a or b respectively) they are listed as 0XXX0Y.pac (where XXX is the WrestlerID and Y is the Attire Number). If the files don't exist in both a and b, then something or someone has deleted these files off your disk, If the files are all still there, try to rebuild the Chunk0.def file with CCT (Full Option). In addition, you can also try to delete all your WWE 2k19 temporary files from the %Temp%\WWE 2k19\ folder, then restart Windows and see if that helps. mattfick
files were still there, rebuilt the chunk, everything came back, any idea how that may have happened?
mattfick
i think i may have found the issue, it seems whenever i use wrestleplus to "rebuild def" it messes with the renders and ill lose alternate attire slots, ill close app, open cct, regenerate chunk, and everything comes back. would there be any way to sync those two programs so that doesnt happen? Not sure. Looks like something changed your Chunk0.def. Could have been Steam updated/replaced the file, or you used a .def rebuilder other than CCT's which can cause to such problems. Or maybe you aborted/interrupted CCT's def rebuilding process or changed some .pac files while it was rebuilding. Or perhaps you did a Windows roll back. Hard to say, really. In any case, if .pac mods suddenly stop working, the first thing to try is to rebuild the Chunk0.def (Full) with CCT (and only CCT, don't use the rebuilder of any other tool as they don't work properly!) and see if that fixes it. 6 minutes ago, mattfick said: i think i may have found the issue, it seems whenever i use wrestleplus to "rebuild def" it messes with the renders and ill lose alternate attire slots, ill close app, open cct, regenerate chunk, and everything comes back. would there be any way to sync those two programs so that doesnt happen? As I supsected then. As I always "preach" to not ever use any other tool to rebuild the Chunk0.def. Any chunk rebuilders other than CCT's are incomplete, buggy or rather not very "smart", can't resolve file conflicts and will cause issues like the one you encountered. Yes, some may be faster, but that's because they don't account for several things CCT's rebuilder does and cause problems. In any case, running CCT's Chunk0.def Rebuilder (Full Option) after you run any other should fix pretty much any issue with the Chunk0.def file, unless you really have tons of file copies inside the mods folder which might even be able to throw CCT's Chunk0.def rebuilder off.
