SwitchedHazuki
Hey Guys! is it a known issue with some Mods that they crash the game to the Desktop while an ingame or post match replay is running? i occationally run into this problem and could not find out what exactly causes this, it really only does happen by some mods and not all. Could it be an issue if i use 2k18 mods on 2k19?
Slicky
Just wondering if its normal for a modded game to experience crashes at random points. Like when editing someone's moveset or trying to enter universe mode.
Cave Waverider
It isn't normal, but some mods may be buggy. 2 hours ago, SwitchedHazuki said: Hey Guys! is it a known issue with some Mods that they crash the game to the Desktop while an ingame or post match replay is running? i occationally run into this problem and could not find out what exactly causes this, it really only does happen by some mods and not all. Sometimes it's the entrance attire causing the crashes (a prominent example is @Joe Mashups' "CHRIS JERICHO AEW '20" mod, of which the otherwise awesome looking "Painmaker" Entrance attire causes crashes in conjunction with the replay), in which case you can try to remove the chXXXY4.pac file for your Wrestler (this will cause her or him to use the ring gear for the entrance as well), regenerate the Chunk0.def via CCT restart the game and see if that fixes the replay crashes. When using files meant for older (or in other cases newer) games, some files from older games will work without issue, others will have to be properly converted (look around the forums on how that's done, although there isn't a cookie cutter template that works for every file and you'll require extensive modding knowledge). It can happen with mods made for the current game as well, if there are any incompatiblities or bugs. Sometimes the file size could also be too big for the game to handle (some older games allowed for larger mods). 1 hour ago, Slicky said: Just wondering if its normal for a modded game to experience crashes at random points. Like when editing someone's moveset or trying to enter universe mode. As for the move Editor, it could be the same cause as above (some ported moves may also cause this), but it could also be that you are using a faulty .moveset file (if you are using a file from an older game or automatically converted from one, for example, that's either missing moves - either hidden ones or visible ones, has wrong moves assigned or other issues). This is the reason why one shouldn't try to import .pofo and .moveset files from other games, even if they were converted with Data Editor (which is an experimental feature to begin with as too many variables are unknown). Try to load a new .moveset file for your wrestler with Data Editor (you can also do so with the .pofo file just to be safe), set everything but the moves there, install it into the game and try to set the moves in-game to see if that fixes it. You can check out the Data Editor Tutorials for more information on how to do that. The crashes in Universe mode may also be related to any of the above, but it could also be that you haven't imported the .pofo and .moveset file to that particular Universe save. WWE 2k19 uses separate .pofo and .moveset files for Exhibition as well as for every Universe mode save, so you'll have to re-import them for each Universe save after creating one (you can do so via CCT by choosing Universe1-3 on the left instead of Superstars (which is for Exhibition). Another problem that could be causing crashes in general would be that you may be running out of RAM, Dedicated Video RAM or SDD/HDD space available, (especially on systems with comparatively little of it) . You can check Task Manager's performance tab (or other performance measuring tools) periodically while playing to see how much of each resource is free. If any of it shows full or close to full, that may be the cause and you might have to use fewer or smaller mods or upgrade your hardware.
