eplate2 Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 I am trying to download some content from CC and also create a caw but all of a sudden I get an error message that says Broken Files - Cannot Download. When I try to make a caw, it doesn't seem to save for some reason. Can anyone help me with a fix to this problem? It must be MOD related correct? Quote
Cave Waverider Posted June 11, 2020 Posted June 11, 2020 Your created content likely got corrupted (either by downloading something corrupted from the creation studio, the download not finishing properly or just due to a game bug). Hopefully you've created backups of your save game. If so, try to restore an old save game from before the issue happened and see if it works. Quote
eplate2 Posted June 11, 2020 Author Posted June 11, 2020 Bummer, the only backup I have is the original game file before i started to mod Quote

What's weird though is this started about 4 weeks ago and then 3 nights ago, I was suddenly able to download a few caws from CC without an issue. The next day I come back online and try to download another and then get that error code again. So it went from having issues, to not having issues and then again to having issues. I really hope there is a simpler fix because I need to create about 12 arenas for my universe and this is stopping me from being able to 😞 Quote
Cave Waverider Posted June 12, 2020 Posted June 12, 2020 It's odd that it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Perhaps the created content you're trying to download is corrupt. But if you've succeeded to download the same content that showed the problem earlier, that may not be the case. Could it be a connection issue to the server (losing connection during download for a split second, etc..)? If it's happening only to arenas - do you have any arena mods installed? Perhaps some of the arenas you're downloading require content from the default arenas that has been changed in some of the mods somehow? That's all the ideas I have right now. Quote

I do have 2 arena mods installed and actually I need to reset all this because those mods are destroyed as well. I had Abhilash's mod installed then tried to add 2 of Titavius' mods to the pack and now all the arenas have glitches. I do have a backup file from the original game folder, any way for me to fix arenas? Should I just copy specific backup folders over from the backup file to my game folder? Will this ruin any wrestler mods/music mods/etc? it's not a connection issue, my internet service is working perfectly. Edited June 12, 2020 by eplate2 Quote
British Agent Posted June 13, 2020 Posted June 13, 2020 Bro Can you copy misc04_arena.pac and misc01_start.pac from my mod to pac/root directory. it will fix the arena issue. Quote
BlackBen83 Posted June 15, 2020 Posted June 15, 2020 (edited) @eplate2 If you get an error message on the CC, you are most likely exceeding the number of .mo in image weight in your game. Make sure you don't exceed 200mo. Also, even if you get this error message, be aware that the images of the downloaded caw will still add to your in game images, and therefore overload you even more on the 200mo allowed. Just try to delete unused files to go back down to 198mo/200mo. And you will be able to download a caw or create one too. Ben Edited June 15, 2020 by BlackBen83 Quote

I will try this later as well - i didn't realize there was a maximum for images! would this also give me issues though with creating and saving my own caw / arena?
