drwho269 Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 I have this question, but first to be clear: Thank You for this Programs, without them none of this MODS would work for me. Now, according to Data Editor there are more CH slots than on CCT. Why is that? Let's put as an example: Abdullah The Butcher (first that comes to mind plus is one the first on Data Editor list as: Abdullah The Butcher slot 867 yet on CCT 867 is not available, and so many other slots on Data Editor that are not listed on CCT. (yes I have Abdullah on slot 257) where Tazz should be on CCT. I have being thinking on restart the Character MODS all over again and this time use the slots they are supposed to be (for those that are listed, of course) because I also noticed that some of are coming out with the "right call name" during their entrances.... while other either have no name OR completely different names.... like (don't remember who it was, but a male Wrestler was announced as "Emma" LOL I like for someone to clarify this issue for me, and is it worth it to start over, also what would be the best way to do so. Note: is OK if I would have to start Universe again. Quote
Cave Waverider Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 The entries in Data Editor marked with <<Mod>> require the CAWless Mod, which cannibalizes CAW slots to open more slots for wrestlers/mods on top of the ones marked with <Mod> (which only require PerfectPlextra or vanilla WrestlePlus to use). CCT/PerfectPlextra isn't able to utilize these slots. Quote
drwho269 Posted May 17, 2020 Author Posted May 17, 2020 let me if I understand, I would lose ALL CAW slots. Is that what you mean by "cannibalize" CAW slots? If so, I would only missed my Masked Medics tag team (of course every downloaded CAW) but I would be OK with that since I prefer MODS anyways. But what about my other question about the CH call names issue. "I have being thinking on restart the Character MODS all over again and this time use the slots they are supposed to be (for those that are listed, of course) because I also noticed that some of are coming out with the "right call name" during their entrances.... while other either have no name OR completely different names.... like (don't remember who it was, but a male Wrestler was announced as "Emma" LOL" Should I restart from scratch? Minus of course those like RVD which is on slot 106 for example, but anyone that is NOT in their "proper slot" should I remove them and installed them in their "proper slot". I am not certain, but I think that this might be the reason behind some being called someone else or not having a call name at all during their entrances. Quote
Cave Waverider Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 Yes, you'd loose CAW slots. I'm not sure if the CAWless Mod allows you to cannibalize only certain slots or all of them only. There can be some unwanted/nasty side effects when using the CAWless Mod (especially if you mess around with it too much or don't know what you're doing), so be aware of that. And AFAIK you'll always have to run WrestlePlus in the background when running the game. As for the Ring Announcer announcements and also commentary (sadly Commentary ID in the .pofo no longer properly overrides what is hard-coded for most slots in WWE 2k19), they are tied to the IDs. The reason why some unused/mod slots still have call names is because these IDs/slots used to have wrestlers in them in older games and 2k forgot and/or was too lazy to remove the audio for them (but they removed some, so it's hit or miss). Thus you can of course install the appropriate wrestlers in these slots. But it's mostly a trial and error which have which. The list of IDs was agreed upon before we knew all of this. Of course as an alternative you could also just use Sound Editor to replace the names and commentary for say "Emma" with some for whichever wrestler you have in that slot. Quote
drwho269 Posted May 17, 2020 Author Posted May 17, 2020 I have being looking for the download of Cawless MOD, can't find it. Also looking on my PC for it (I thought I had it) but couldn't find it either. I don't need a 100 slots, but it would be nice if I could use 20 or so slots... Even better if I could managed to save the 29 CAWS that I have. Don't like the idea of always have to run Wrestle Plus ... but I would do it (sometimes... ok ... many times) I know I will forget, and would have to restart the game... LOL But I am willing to try, this first. I have never used the Sound Editor before, every time I read about it, it sounds complicated for me. (no joke intended) Again: I can't find the link for CAWless MOD, is it separate, is part of Wrestle Plus? because if so, I can't find it there either. Quote
Cave Waverider Posted May 17, 2020 Posted May 17, 2020 CAWless Mod is part of WrestlePlus. It's probably in the options somewhere. Maybe it's also just integrated in the slot renumbering thing it has. I don't have WrestlePlus installed, so I can't help you with that. As always, it's likely a good idea to backup your save game backup your save game before you try anything, though. Sound Editor is rather easy to use. I'm sure you can find tutorials around the forum and youtube on how to use it. 1 Quote
