2008 models in 2011?

So recently I've taken back up with messing around with modding SVR 2011 and I've run into a road block that I've met before but never found any answers to.

I'm on PS3 and when I replace someone with a SVR 2008 model, I get something fresh out of a horror movie

(Yes, I know that isn't Mr Kennedy also lol)

I've tried messing with the alpha channels in both the color and normal texture files, but no progress at all. Every model I've tried from 2008 looks like this and for the life of me I can not seem to understand why. I would imagine it has something to do with the 0000.yobj model file, as I recall WWE 12 models in later games gave off a shiny effect yet there was a fix to this that involved hex editing the 0000.yobj file.

Here's another look at the model in-game.

2009 models also give off a slight shiny effect, as shown in yumboy11's awesome 2011 mod recently posted here. I assume if there is a fix for the 2008 models, the same method should apply for 2009 to an extent at least.

If anyone knows how to fix this in any way, I would be eternally obligated to serve you! That's the point I'm at with these damn 2008 models!

Is it possible that this is a PS3 issue?  I haven't done too much testing but 2008 models seem fine to me.  An issue I have is 2009 model shine but the weird thing for me is they only shine when they face certain people. (see images)

I'm sure it's very possible that it may just be a PS3 thing. It wouldn't be the first time PS3 made modding 10x harder. Mozzer0 has a video on his YouTube channel which has 2008 Randy Orton in 2011 with no shine and he worked with the PS3 so I know it has to be possible to get rid of the shine, I just have no clue where to go with trying at this point. I've gotten around the 2009 shine with a few people but only by taking their textures and hoping they are the same layout as the 2010 textures/editing them to match the 2010 texture layout and slapping them on the 2010 model. This is how I've gotten 2009 Jeff Hardy into 2011 with no shine, albeit the hair on the 2009 model is different from 2010's but that isn't really an issue for me

for me svr2008 models nor working in svr2011 and about shining i have notices that if any superstar have 4 alt attire and the 2nd one is from svr2009 so by selecting attire 3 and 4 the shining is gone for 2nd attire

Sins I am not good to add alt attire my bad English

I take Randy ortan from svr 7 and svr09 he have 4 attire in svr 11 when I go to 2nd he is from 09 he look shining but after go to his 3rd and 4th attire and come back to 2nd the shining is gone

I'll for sure try that. How did you get 07 models to work? Are you on 360 or PS3?
