How can I replace the commentary team and ring announcer models?

I've tried this several ways, and can't seem to get it. I've tried installing via CCT and also by manually dragging the files into the pac/ch folder with the file names based on the ID numbers and ending in 06, and they either don't show up or the game locks up when trying to load a match.

 

I'm trying to install Matt2282p's Fink (over Jo Jo), Ventura (over Graves), Classic Vince (over Cole) and JR (over Saxton) and can't seem to get this right no matter what I try.

 

Any tips on what I may be missing or how to install these particular mods?

I’m not expert on this however I have been doing some digging around . To my knowledge , you can always swap pacs for commentary teams and they’re physically change in the game , however the actual voice files would take a TON of time replacing. You would have to find exact words for Vince to replace coles.. cut the files in wav and convert to wem. I’m in the middle of making a Cody Rhodes sound mod

I’m having the same issue and haven’t found a solution. I searched everywhere in the forum and replacing the pac files ending in 06, doesn’t work for me. So far the issue is for commentators and ring announcers. I can replace refs no prob since they are unique pac files as well.

It finally worked for me after I went to the ch folder and removed each commentators pac file first. I then renamed the pac files of the commentators that I wanted to use with HxD Hex editor. Then dropped the renamed file in the ch folder And rebuilt the chunk file. So basically replaced the file manually instead of using cct.
 

So, if replacing Graves with Ventura, removed Graves PAC file from the ch folder. Rename Ventura’s Pac file using HxD to whatever Graves Pac was named, then dropped Ventura’s file in the ch folder. Then rebuild chunk file. I was able to replace the three commentators and JoJo with this method. Haven’t tried Mean Gene yet.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction. I found the HxD editor tool,  a Youtube video and followed your example. A lot easier than i expected. Now my universe is more immersive. Thanks again!!
