Instaiing a tx.pac and still able to use the original attire?

So I was instaiing pac files for alt attires when I came into a tx.pac one instead. So I tried naming it tx15242.pac since I used the other slots place it in both mod and original ch folders and regenerating the def file....it worked. But the orginal attire changes as well. So I installed the original ch file in the first slot, but the alt changes back to default. Any help would be appreciated. I know TX files share texture or something is there maybe a simple way to make the tx into ch instead?
