DaveEliasIrwin Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 I'm following the tutorial ( https://smacktalks.org/wiki/index.php/Installing_Mods ) to install superstars. There is a section that states: "To reiterate, all three of the chXXXYZ.pac, .pofo and .moveset files each using the same matching Wrestler ID have to be installed for a mod to work properly. " My question is: What can I do with the all of the Superstar mods both in the forum and in the database that only consist of a .pac file? If I also need the .moveset and .pofo in order for the Superstar to even work, than how are those mods being used? What am I missing? The tutorial ( https://smacktalks.org/wiki/index.php/Installing_Mods ) gives a link to the Smacktalks Mod Database (https://smacktalks.org/site/index.php?db=mods ). The first page has Hulk Hogan 2k19. Clicking on that will open a page with a download button. Clicking on the download button will lead you to a repository with about 20 folders filled with files. All of the files are .pac files. I have downloaded Chyna and Mankind from the Smacktalks Mod Database( the mods only consisted of .pac files) and installed them but the wrestlers did not show up in the game. To be clear, I am able to use superstar mods that have all three files. I Installed Unbreakable138's Mankind Mod which included all three files and it worked correctly. So, if you need all three file types for the mod to work, then what is the usefulness of having only a third of the required files for the superstar? Quote
DaveEliasIrwin Posted March 20, 2020 Author Posted March 20, 2020 (edited) To expand on this: A) Is there a way to use a Superstar mod that consists only of a .pac file BY using a different wrestler's .pofo and .moveset file? B) Is there a way to use a Superstar mod that consists only of a .pac file BY using a generic .pofo and .moveset file? C) Is there a way to use a Superstar mod that consists only of a .pac file BY generating a .pofo and .moveset file using an external application? D) Is there a way to use a Superstar mod that consists only of a .pac file BY finding the associated .pofo and .moveset file in a public database store of all known .pofo and .moveset file? E) Is there any known way to use a Superstar mod that consists only of a .pac file that has no associated .pofo and .moveset in the downloaded archive? F) If all above is false, What is the point of having a database with hundreds of Wrestlers that have the .pac files but no .pofo and .moveset files? If they can't be used because they are missing two required files than why even have them? I feel like I missed a chapter of the installation instructions that covers: "What to do when you only have the .pac file". Edited March 20, 2020 by DaveEliasIrwin Quote
Red Rooster Posted March 20, 2020 Posted March 20, 2020 (edited) You can just make your own pofo and moveset file using the tools available on the forum eg. Data Editor For the moveset I suggest using one from an in-game superstar with similar moves and then edit it in game to meet your needs. Its not rocket science.
