Kaizer Posted February 24, 2020 Posted February 24, 2020 Hey Guys, I am brand new to modding and have been learning a lot. Though when I looked through all the tutorials which seemed to be from 2K16. I can't figure out why the name won't update. I have looked through all the string.pac files and there is no 5A1C. The Super String file seems to be in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\WWE 2K19\mods\SuperString\pac\string\win" but when I try to update that one. The game will just crash and won't start if I make any edits. I would appreciate any help as I am stuck and can't figure out how to properly edit strings to name my wrestlers. Quote
BlindedByTheGrace Posted February 25, 2020 Posted February 25, 2020 @Kaizer you are better off Wrestleminus to edit your string names. Its much better than using Hxd and you will see both the string name and Hex ID. First I will suggest you read through this thread. I wrote a short tutorial on changing names using Wrestleminus which you will find useful. There are two important things you need to take note of when editing strings. (1) You need to ensure you don't have a copy of the strng_win.pac file in any other folders besides the mods\superstring or pac\string\win. (2) If you are using a different language in your game, you need to change the string name in multiple locations in the same file. Quote
