Changing the gender of a created wrestler *without* WrestlePlus?

I want to change the gender of a couple of female CAW's (permanently) so that I can play couch co-op with my wife and her female-looking characters. I can't get WrestlePlus working (tried everything).

What's an alternative, simple way to do it?

You should be able to use CCT or change  their gender in their .pofo with Data Editor. Note, However, the CAWs will likely be deformed when using the wrong gender.
