Are MODS from 2K18 compatible with 2K19?

Are MODS from 2K18 compatible with 2K19?

I have being trying to install The Patriot from 2K18.

Edit his Pofo and Moveset files with Data Editor 2K19, try to installed it with CCT.... 

Data Editor uses slot 975 for Patriot but CCT doesn't have this slot available, so I try with Wrestle plus.... nothing.

So I rename the files to 925, try it with both CCT and Wrestle plus... nothing. 

Yes I rebuild the def... and also restarted the game, nothing.

What am I missing?

You need to change the pach id inside the Pac file to match whatever character ID you are using, just renaming the pac file is not enough.

First, some .pac files created for older games will work, others won't. If they don't they will usually crash or have glitches. They will have to be ported to WWE 2k19 compatible format properly (how to do so varies from case to case).
Also, you can't use .pofo and .moveset files from older games, they are different than 2k19 and importing them could mess things up. You'll have to create new ones with Data Editor (or try to import the old ones into Data Editor and then edit them, but that may or may not work from case to case and isn't recommended).

Actually, installing the .pac files via CCT should adjust the IDs inside automatically to the slot you install the .pac files in.

@drwho269 You'll have to ensure that the .pofo and .moveset files are also set to the same ID as the .pac file.

Also, 975 These is a CAWless mod slot. You'll have to install the CAWless mod to use it. It will only work with PacPlus active, the CAWless mod installed and can only be managed via WrestlePlus.

As for 925, this slot requires either PerfectPlextra to be installed (you can do so in CCT via the Installing Mods menu) or PacPlus to be running while you play. Perhaps you forgot that.

OK, I change the Pac ID using Wrestle Plus.

I do have the PerfectPlextra installed.

I don't think I have the CAWless MOD installed... 

But either one didn't worked. I try to install later today the CAWless MOD and try it again.

I tried again, this time made sure that CAWless is Installed (it wasn't) switch the Pac back to 975.... still nothing.

I don't know what to do.

I successfully installed The Road Warriors and Demolition.

Used Road Warriors vs Demolition Ax & Smash a few times... Now it was time to add Crush to the mix... and the game crash again at match loading screen.

So I tried AJ Styles (normal in game) vs Crush and the match loaded perfectly, so what could it be?

There was a period where my game would crash after every few matches. It would freeze on character selection screen. Cave waverider recommended to zero out and rebuild def in CCT. This was a great solution and resolve most of the crashes.

Here is a thread about older pac causing crashes. For me, sometime these older pacs work but after a few selction they start to crash the game. When I zero out and rebuild in CCT, it works a few times more then crashes again. or you can try to rebuild the file like in the thread and the files don't crash anymore.

Do you know how? Steps and which tool (or tools) to use?
