sound editor 2019 heelp power outage

well I was in the middle of importing some themesin , when a power outage hit . which restarted my pc .

when I go back in sound editor I get a message saying .. unhandled exception has occurred in your application - hexadecimal value 0x00, is an invalid character. line 9 , postion 1.

I even tried reinstalling but no success , please I got no clue.

never mind got it working , but I reinstalled it to c drive

but how did the power outage mess it up , when it was working before ?

if anyone has this problem , just reinstall to c drice

dame , so I did originally had it installed on e drive , which some how messed up from the power outage.

but when I reinstall it to the e drive that message keeps appearing.

but when I install it to the c drive it works, but I need it on the edrive .

someone help please im lost.

topic resolved, I must have been in a pc safe reboot mode?

 I restarted my pc which got the e drive back in working order

reinstalled sound editor back to e drive and everything back to normal

Sudden power loss while accessing a hard disk drive (especially writing) can easily lead to data corruption/loss and even damage to the drive. Best run chkdsk on it and see if Windows finds any problems.

thanks for the info , did just that and no problems found on disk
