TheJStale Posted August 11, 2019 Share Posted August 11, 2019 (edited) I've been porting over past models of Superstars in previous games to use as alternate attires in 2K19 and I successfully ported over Viktor's 2K18 model (both entrance pac and in-ring pac) and Konnor's in-ring pac. But I am having difficulty with his entrance pac file. When the Ascension come out and even for Konnor's solo entrance, Konnor is just a black silhouette. I can see his eyelids and like his mouth, but everything else is just pitch black, even when the red lighting shines on him. He is just pitch black. But when the entrance ends and it cuts to the Ascension in the ring before the opponents come out, Konnor is normal. Can anyone help me fix this? Or port it over for me? Hi, the reason for this is, most 2k18 characters have their textures located in a different file.These are the files with extension .tx in the pac/ch folders. Could you tell me which tx file is Konnor's and how I can get it working? Is it simple as just copying over the tx file? The textures are usually located in multiple tx files as some are shared between characters.The 2k18 character pac file needs to be decompressed and a file called 14.net opened in a hex editor to view which tx file each texture is located. Now I don't know if you have worked with 0A and 0C texture files before. If you haven't, then you will need to read up on texture files in the game. I can help you with this mod, but if you are looking into porting over a lot of 2k18 character attires, then you will encounter the same issues. I will have a look at the 2k18 files . I'm still very much a noob when it comes to porting over or modding characters. I only know how to use rePac to extract the 000C files and then I use GIMP to brighten them up if needed. I use rePac to create a texture archive and I can use PAC Editor to re-inject it. But most of 2K18's pac files don't load in rePac like I am used to so I avoid porting over 2K18 pacs usually. But Konnor and Viktor's chxxx02 files loaded up fine in rePac and I did not have to tweak their skin tones. Oh, and normally what I do is I take a modded pac (an RVD port for example) and I copy it to my desktop and then I open, for example, Konnor's 2k18 pac in Pac Editor and extract that file it comes up with and then I inject it into the RVD mod pac and then I open it in HXD and I scroll down and edit the pac slot. I rename the file to match the change and I paste that pac file in the pac/ch folder. I use CCT to clear the chunks and stuff and that's it. I don't have like X-Packer or X-Rey or any of those ones that you have to donate in order to get them. I do the very basic stuff. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
