Clarityman Posted August 3, 2019 Posted August 3, 2019 (edited) So after extensively modding my game, I finally decided to dive in MyPlayer since I've heard good things. Started the first match and my guy is flopping all over the place. I recognize this glitch. It happens when no move is assigned, usually due to a modded moveset or an imported moveset. But why is this glitch appearing in MyPlayer...? Upon advice from squaredcirclefan, I tried deleting the MyPlayer and starting fresh, but the issue persists. When I go into the moveset editor, I can see values of "NONE" assigned to every move besides finishers. I manually edited it so that every move has a value, but pin, basic stomp, and liftup opp from ground animations (not editable in moveset editor) cause the freezing/flopping glitch too, making MyPlayer unplayable! The image below captures the issue: Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this, or how I can fix it? I heard the idea that I have a corrupted save, but my save file works fine otherwise and I have worked on it about 200 hours so replacing it isn't an option. If there were some way to inject a standard moveset, or a standard MyPlayer moveset, that would almost assuredly fix this glitch, but afaik Data Editor nor CCT have this functionality. Clarityman Posted August 4, 2019 Author Posted August 4, 2019 Upon further testing, I realized this glitch is affecting Technician only. I can start an career with Powerhouse and I have no problems. Also, strangely enough, each time I try to start a game with Technician, it starts with a total of 0 attribute points overall. This is definitely some kind of crazy glitch afflicting my save, but at least I'll be able to play as Powerhouse. Unfortunate, as I'd REALLY prefer to play as a Technician and already there are moves unavailable that I wish to access. Maybe if someone knows if there's a part of the save file that affects only MyPlayer and I can start with a vanilla part of that save? Otherwise I'm SOL. But unless anyone has any other ideas why this is occurring, I'll just have to forge on and leave this here as reference. Quote

The save file can't be pulled apart. Unless you load one of the previous saves stored in CCT backup folder. You will need to ensure steam is closed when restoring one of the saves. But it all depends on if you are willing to take the risk. You might first want to try verifying your files with steam. This will not delete your save file. But you might need to add the string file, zero out the chunk.arc and regenerate the chink0. def file. All the modded move animation files will be replaced with the vanilla ones. Then try running MyPlayer. If it still doesn’t work then, you can bet it’s the save file. Edited August 4, 2019 by squaredcirclefan Quote
Clarityman Posted August 4, 2019 Author Posted August 4, 2019 Yeah it seems that way. I have plenty of backups saved but who knows how far back this goes. Why is it a "risk" to restore a backup save? Quote
