gotmark76
Hi, thanks for reading. I've been reading about mods for the past few weeks, and think I might want to give it a shot. My thinking is that I can get WWE 2K19 on Steam right now for $14.95. I have a couple of questions I would love answered, if anyone could. 1- I've NEVER tried anything like this, so I will be using the SmackTalks Wiki like it's a manual. Is it better to get the Deluxe edition, or will I be able to fully mod with the basic edition? 2- When using mods, and entering the data in, am I still able to use created wrestlers and logos (I know this sounds stupid, but I really know NOTHING other than what I've read here) 3- Is it better to test with an older game, or start with 2K19? Thanks for any help you can provide. I'm looking to try this in the next few weeks, so any info I can get would be greatly appreciated. B4G.TV
You can mod the basic edition, but If the game is on sale for so little, get the deluxe edition. It's just a better base to start with. If your going to play it more than a few hours a week, it's worth the extra cash. Your CAW created wrestlers/images and modded ones you download are separate. No conflicts, no problems there. If your starting new, start with 2k19. Things change a lot, might as well get used to the new ways. Just remember, save a backup of your entire game. Zip that shit up. Backup game saves and everything as you mod, every day. That way you can undo anything. It's really fun once you get the hang of it. Have fun. Cave Waverider
1. You will only be able to use (and mod) any slot or content (Wrestlers, themes, trons, etc..) that comes with the Deluxe edition and it's included DLC if you own it. Other than that, you should be able to mod the regular edition just fine. Hence if you want to use any DLC content, you'd want to get the Digital Deluxe edition. 2. The creation suite isn't affected by mods (although there are mods that can't be loaded into create a superstar to create CAS alternate attires, etc..). Creation slots are unaffected, you can use them just as you would with an unmodded game (the one exception being WrestlePlus' "CAWless mod" which sacrifices CAW slots for more Mod slots) 3. Just start with WWE 2k19. It's the best game and the modding tools for it are the most advanced.
