Live Update - Will it kill my mods?

I read that you can access a new Hair vs Hair match, but only if you enable the latest live update.

Can anyone confirm whether this would be a disastrous move for my mods or not? I'd like to access the new match type, but not at the expense of all the work I've put into injecting mods and replacing wrestlers.
