2 short questions about entrance themes

Hi!
I just have two short questions according entrance themes.

First I know it's not possible to add new entrance themes to the game, but i was wondering if it is some how possible to use the menue music tracks or the event music tracks for entrance themes. If so, how can i do this?

Second question is, when i look in the entrance theme files with soundeditor i can see that the etrance themes there have id's but i can't find the matching id's in data editor, how can ich assign them? I'm asking this because in the theme file i have themes that don't match to any wrestler, also there are for example multiple themes for bobby lashley but in data editor i can only find one. If i could match this themes from the files in data editor i could use them for additional entrance themes.

maybe @squaredcirclefan, @Cave Waverider or @TheVisitorX have the answers to this questions.

thank you in advance!

Hi,

Probably the easiest way to use menu tracks is by exporting with sound editor and injecting into one of the miscellaneous music files.

One way is to add the menu soundtrack ID's and names to the cae_item file (pac/menu) so you can select them in the Create an entrance theme music menu. You can obtain the ID's from decompressing the misc05_save.pac file in the pac/root folder and opening the 06.memu (menu music) file. This file contains a list of ID's for the menu music and wrestler themes. This file controls the music available for selection in the menu jukebox.

The ID for the Rock's theme for instance is 100000 in Hex, but it's different from the ID for the file listed in Sound editor. the game doesn't use these ID's. In this file, the ID for Ungrateful Unthankful by Wale is 20 83 89 (89 83 20) which is 9012000 in decimal. This ID can be added to the CAE item file.

The major problem with this is, game does not apply the necessary sound enhancements to the soundtrack themes when used as menu music. The volume will be too low during the entrance, the music wouldn't cut off after the entrance and the entrance cannot be skipped. You will basically have to force close and restart the game after the entrance. The _startup_audio_p30.pac file in the pac/root folder controls these events and the developers have not assigned certain attributes to these themes. Unfortunately it wouldn't be a practicable option.

regarding the second question, I did notice the themes in sound editor. The ID used for Bobby Lashley's theme is 133000 (02 07 88). I personally haven't been able to figure out what file maps the Sound editor ID's to those used by the game based on the Character pac ID. Though there are multiple Bobby Lashley thee files , the game is probably using one.

Nice! Do you have a list of all the valid ID values (like 9012000) for the menu music, by any chance so I can add them to Data Editor to play around with?

Anyway, it's a good step into the right direction. Once we can figure out which file controls the link between the internal game ID and the external ID in .pck files and figure out how to add the stop stuff and volume gains, we might finally be able to add new sound files.

Perhaps @TheVisitorX has some ideas for this as well.
