denbigh7
I apologize ahead of time for what is probably a dumb question, but I honestly did try to search for an answer and couldn’t really find one. If I want to install a mod (in particular, a modded superstar), do I need to use WrestlePlus AND the Data Editor, Custom Character Tools, etc? Or just one program or the other? If I don’t have to use both, is there a benefit to using one over the other? Again, I apologize for what is probably an easy answer.....just want to make sure I do things correctly. Much thanks. Danybarking
I personally had the most luck with CCT, there are plenty of FAQs and Tutorials available for it too. Such as: I did start with WrestlePlus, but never figured out how to add anyone new. But the other features were pretty cool. CCT works alongside Data Editor, but I can't remember if you can install it from within CCT or if you need to do it separately. I downloaded it after starting to use CCT and didn't break anything either way.
Cave Waverider
While the video that was posted above is a nice start, some redundant things and bad practices (like manually copying modded files directly into the \WWE 2k19\pac\... folders instead of using the \WWE 2k19\mods\pac\... folders) are shown in it. You may find the most accurate and safe to use tutorial on the Installing Mods Wiki page.
denbigh7
Thanks so much, that really helps! I assumed it was one or the other, but didn't want to give it a go without asking someone first. Many thanks.
denbigh7
Ok, so I watched the video (multiple times) and read the wiki page. It's a little intimidating, but I figured if I followed things step by step, I'd be alright. I tried installing a Hulk Hogan mod from matt2282p. Using CCT, I imported the mod's .pac files in slot 475 for Hogan. Easy enough. But this particular mod didn't come with a pofo or moveset, so I used the Data Editor and the wiki tutorial to inject a pofo and moveset from someone else (I used Lex Luger). But the mod isn't showing up in my game at all. The game isn't crashing, so I guess that's good. Anyone have an idea of what I did wrong? Help is much appreciated. Thanks!
