Can't add new attires for modded superstars

Title. You were able to fully edit modded superstars in 2K18 as I used to do some alt attires for them and it worked perfectly. Now the game crashes when I try to edit them. The mods are working fine in matches and show up in all universe saves and MyWWE and their pofo/moveset are installed. Did something change for 2K19 and you aren't able to edit the attires anymore ?

Apparently can't be done. I just asked the same question and apparently editing a mod Superstar is not possible, at least not yet. I tried like 30 literal times in a row and crashed every time. Wanted to give Eva an announced name. I guess only thing to do would be edit them in 2K18 how you want them and add them as a mod to 2K19, assuming there is no catch to modding someone twice like that.

It depends on the mod, some work, but one has to follow a certain procedure for 2k19. Thus most older mods won't work in creation studio. But perhaps @tekken57 or others that have created Creation Suite compatible mods can elaborate a bit more.

The main yobj file has to have all the main body objects ie 0-16 enabled. If the model has a beard object, this must also be enabled, keep this in mind if you have reduced the number of objects.

if you have swapped the hair and 2580 files, you need to create a new pach excluding the 00FD and 00FE files as these will cause creation studio to crash.

You can whatever secondary models as attires, etc without causing the creation studio to crash.

Short question @tekken57: something i don't get is, that in 2k18 you can install original 2k17 ch pacs and use them in creation studio, but i can not use 2k18 ch pacs in 2k19 creation studio. Even when i use custom character tool 2k18 to convert the pac to change the id in the pac with a hexeditor and then import the converted pac into wwe2k19 with custom character tool 2k19 i still can not open it with creation studio.

I’m not sure why the creation studio crashes when you let main wrestler yobj is not from 2k19.

However I posted a tutorial on how to port your mods to 2k19 bases on my YouTube channel. Check it out, it may help you

In WWE 2k18 and 19, the textures of most wrestlers don't come within the respective chXXXYZ.pac files. They are usually in separate txXXXYZ.pac files. Try to port those over as well (or, which may be better, extract the textures and rebuild the chXXXYZ.pac file including the textures the "old way").

Hi @tekken57, my hair swap mod is working fine in game.  To enable it for Creation studio, I tried 2 approaches.  Deleting FD/Fe file and replacing it with the ones from character whose hair are being used. Both approaches worked and mod loaded in Creation Studio, but hair was badly messed up.  Here i was replacing Charlotte hair with Stephanie ponytail. I tried using similar hair like charlotte hair with Nia Jax.
