Jolundus
I wasn't sure how my PC would handle the game at first, so I tested the game out with a version that is frowned upon here. I played through a decent chunk of the MyPlayer mode using this copy of the game. I just purchased a legit copy through Steam today and now I'm wondering if there's a way for me to modify the save data of the Steam version to either bring the character from my old save, which I have a backup of, over to the legit copy, or if there was a way to modify the safe data to be in the chapter of the story that I left of on. I'd rather not have to replay the parts I already went through if at all possible
Cave Waverider
No. Be aware that attempting to use a save from any illegal version of the game or even a different Steam account could very well lead your Steam account to be permanently banned as there is account information stored in the save game and they won't match with your account. By the way, one can return games on Steam for a full refund for up to two hours of playtime up to 14 days after purchase if they aren't to one's liking or doesn't work well on your system. This period should be more than enough to see if your PC can handle the game and isn't an excuse for using an illegal version of the game.
