Hello, guys. Is it possible to choose different theme for attires for the same superstar?

It is, but not via .moveset file (although you'll have to set the template for it and not use any media workarounds). You'll have to change the media template for the wrestler in the templates file (can't recall what the .pac was called) with a hex editor.

This was implemented in WWE 2k17 with a few characters like Shawn Michael's and Brian Pillman, but has not been implemented ever since. I noticed in 2k18, the characters were placed on different slots. The alternate theme music had an ID based on the theme ID for the main attire.  They probably discontinued this process as there were a few issues with it during gameplay, so they just use a new slot for the alternate attire. Like Stings for instance.

Now these were the problems encountered in my opinion.

1. Both attires were usually of different eras and with different gimmicks and you couldn't select which of the two you wanted in universe mode.

2. If the character was holding a title, the title will be assigned to the alternate attires also which was a problem as you might want sting 88 to hold the NWA title while Sting 98 holds the WCW title. This was not possible with that setup. So ultimately, it's best to place on a different slot.
