Piper Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 Hey so I'm trying to figure out how to extract textures from some of the mods I put in 2k19. Some of the mods I notice have this tan to them so I want to make them brighter. I understand the part of extracting the 000C file from the pac but it comes up as a zlib file. I dont know what program I need to extract the texture from but I do have Pac editor & Photoshop already on my PC. Quote

Most of the PAC editors should have an option to extract and decompress the files at the same time. You can also use WrestleMinus, it decompresses everything for sure, but you can't always re-inject with it, so it's best to find a PAC editor that works for you. 1 Quote

Cool I'll look into that & once I'll decompress the file, do I have to rename the extension as well? Quote

I used rePac & went to Texture Archive to recreate a texture file (which turn into a pac file) then I rename the extension to .zlib then I used Pac Editior to reinject the texture file back to the ch pac Quote

AznBlusuazn Posted November 1, 2018 Posted November 1, 2018 So if a pach was created with XPacker using the create compressed (auto zlib), for whatever reason, the only program that can extract it correctly is XPacker 2019. Most of my mods were compressed this way FYI. Quote

Leingod Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 (edited) Awesome. So X-Packer lets us extract and re-inject textures then? I really wanna fix some totally wrongly-colored hairs, like Sami Zayn's for instance which is ridiculously dark. Do these re-injected wrestlers crash Superstar Studio like mods do tho? retrogamer81 Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 hi I used xpacker to extract the textures so I can brighten them and when I went to reinject them it said the texture file must be the same size as the original so it seems after brighten the textures it increased the file size so how do I brighten textures without increasing the file size so if anyone could help me I would really be geratful Quote
Cave Waverider Posted November 3, 2018 Posted November 3, 2018 You have to save them in the correct format. Which one that is depends on the texture. Try to save it in different DXT formats with different mip map settings and compare the file size with the original afterwards to see which one is the right one for that particular texture. This is only required for X-Packer, though, Pac Editor and other .pac tools might just allow you to replace the file with a texture of any format. Quote

I do this process around 13:40 in this video. I’d recommend just rebuilding a new pach afterwards, which I also to after making the texture file : it might be worth reviewing of my videos to get these answers. Thx Quote

Xpacker 2019 fixes that issue. Quote
