Guess I've made a mistake accepting request from everyone this year. But all in all, thank you everyone for supporting. Like Nick said,

Creators create for themselves first. If they create something they don't care about, then that is work and should be paid.

I paid 2K to play the WWE games, creating any custom wrestlers that I want, enjoy it with my family and friends, and I have the rights to share or not to share any creations I made.

But if you people keep dm'ing, send me a request, creating the caws that I don't care about, creating a caws of your self, that I dont' want, that I have no interest to, I can only accept if they offer me something. Why? Because I paid 2k to create caws that I like, that Ive already have in my list.. like last year, I am so excited to share my caws from last year to this year. I have my own list, and mostly from NJPW and some from Lucha Underground. And now all the people here, in twitter, in reddit, in Instagram and around the world think that I put a price for every single caw that Ive created while you ignored all caws that Ive uploaded for public on cc days, weeks and months ago.

Again, please stop asking me to upload all caws that I have, I have my own rights to share it or not. I am not working with 2k, I am not working for the community. I just share it because I want you to enjoy what I have been enjoyed with. I know nobody would care about this garbage texts, but if you read this, thank you. I am done.

For realz?  This year?  I DL'd the best one I could find last night, can't remember whose it was but I'll check.  The attires and moveset were both great, just not a photo realistic face like what Ryee typically brings to the table.

I hate to hear it man!  Just donated, and I'd like to personally thank you again for all the hard work.  Sorry I haven't contributed in past years, never noticed the link until now.

Take care bud, hope you'll have a change of heart.

Sure hope to see you back, your hard work and dedication has been a game changer for years. Fantastic and in game model caws have given our games much needed lifeline.

Thank You for every caw and hour you've spent trying to make the best caws out there.

Hate to hear you’re leaving. After talking to Nick and reading your post I have changed my stance on this, I was in the middle, but you have made very compelling arguments. I’m hoping others will read this and have similar thoughts.

I think no matter what you do that you will receive criticism just for the simple fact that you aren’t catering to individuals who think you owe them something. In the end it’s up to you, but I hate seeing a creator leave based on some dick head comments( mine included before knowing the whole story). This is basically your art, your time and your effort put into these. Hopefully after you take some time and let it pass a little, you will decide to get back into what was probably once fun and now just seems like work.

I have not been sharing publications for a while now, but Ryee is absolutely right. By what right do some people tell him what to do or tell him to stop charging these caws? For those who do not create caws do you know how long it takes to do something good? Hours. Do you think he will allow this to do all the caws that are asked of him? You can dream. As he says it above all he does it with passion and especially "For Him". Nothing is free in life, some here probably plays in Fornite and it allows to buy skins 20 euros and then say "too expensive your caws at 10 euros ". Rye is not going to waste time with strangers to do them a free job.
Ryee has talent his person will not be able to remove him but must stop harassing him continuously like fat noobs while most of you do not even know how to make a basic caw and insult him as if it were the end of the world.
I have my reasons like him for not posting my caws even if mine are different.
Ryee you have my support no matter what happens. Do what you like and do not change and congratulations also for the caws you posted this year.

See you.

Good job, assholes. Hope you’re all proud of yourselves.

Who? The people who discussed the concept of selling CAWs, the people who critiqued that and not Rye, the moderators who aren't hopping on every "request" or "demand" sprinkled throughout these threads by people like Iron Man that are outright harassment and ought to be banned, or the ones who race to every forum Rye posts on just to copy/paste the same "It wasn't my fault, retards!" kind of comments like this one?

I'll be that guy because I honestly don't care enough about this kind of drama to let it weigh me down outside of the forum. When I hit the X, you all disappear.

Rye is awesome for creating such detailed CAWs year in and year out, as is all the other creators. However, packing your bags and leaving because a broader issue was tabled and discussed was enough to trip your trigger and stop CAWing -- it'd be you with the issue, not everyone else. It shows an ego that is extremely fragile. Of course it's his choice, just as it was Liger's choice to stop sharing ; however, I'm not going to kiss Rye's ass nor should anyone else just because you're disappointed to see him go (or more specifically because you're disappointed that his work won't be on your console). I already said that if people want to tip him or pay what he charges, that's on them. It's not for me, but I'm not hating.

Someone in this thread or the one on CAWS.WS attempted to point out that we're all adults here. Throwing tantrums yearly is not how adults act. This is supposed to be a community of people working together - not hassling or harassing each other. Not stealing from each other. We should be able to discuss things without people getting so offended or feeling attacked. Sometimes it's how you say it, not what you say, and other times it feels like their are people in this community that are simply "untouchable" when it comes within 300 yards of anything that could resemble criticism, whether it's constructive criticism or not. Anyone who bucks that gets attacked.

I wasn't a part of this thread as it was souring, I don't frequent Reddit, and as far as Twitter and the CAW community goes, I share/retweet others' work and occasionally tease @NickBreaker on there ... so I had and have no dogs in this fight. I contributed nothing except a hypothetical reply based off of a summary given by another poster. However, since I'm assuming since I wasn't one of the people on here stroking Rye's ego out of the gates, the "assholes" generalization/label is being applied to me as well and so this is my opinion on the matter. Ignore it, start flaming me, ban me, I'm not sure I care anymore.

What you people have become - with your ego, your avarice, your tribalism, and your lack of patience -- is not what we were when we were a bunch of wrestling nerds sharing typed out forumlae for created wrestlers on GameFAQs forums. Some of you never stopped being teenagers/young 20s. It's time to grow up.

Wow!!! You took that shit personal. Idk why from what I see from your post you was having a discussion and wasn't being a asshole to ryee like some of these other kids was. Idk if you was paying attention like last couple weeks but people on here was talking shit and putting his personal stuff on blast. A topic was closed and this one had to be cleaned up because it got so ignorant and disrespectful. Imagine the bullshit he was getting in private. But I guess it all ryee's ego huh?

Bottom line is if there's certain caws ryee has no plans to make on his own and someone wants it he charges when ppl saw the barrett it looked so good to them they wanted it then when they realize someone paid for it and they couldnt have it that's when the uproar started if it was a caw no one wanted they wouldn't even care funny thing is i dont remember anyone asking or requesting him to make barrett but as soon as they see it and realize how good it turned out they want it and then start harassing him about it

Sorry to see this happened to you, Ryee. I know most of the people don't remember me (Nick does, my old friend!), but I used to do a bunch of request work for people. I had to stop because I had to do my real job, and now my skills are so rusty I can't seem to even pull off the one I really, really want for myself.

One thing I've discovered in my time as part of various game communities, though, is that most of the people are cool, but there are enough that are jerks, that ask for things and don't even say please, people who just want to troll because they're angry and wouldn't confront a person face-to-face, etc.

The bottom line on this-- whether people here like it or not-- is that creating a CAW from scratch is an art. I used to do a great deal of texture making, and it's just as intensive as other Photoshop work. If you go to Fiverr, you can see what people get to do Photoshop work.

I've been trying to make Penta. I can't get the mask to not suck, but I made all of his tattoos the other day. It took me 3 hours of photoshop work (and I need to re-color balance a few of them, which will be another half hour or so) not to mention the hours of scouring the internet for photo references. If I were doing freelance design work (the same Photoshop skills) in that time, It'd be $50-75 an hour, so that'd be at minimum $200.

If someone asks for $20 when you ask them to do a custom CAW, and there's a lot of graphic work (not to mention the time doing all the actual CAW in-game work and moveset work and such), that's not a bad price. I know why it SEEMS like a bad price to some of you, because you're used to getting your CAWs for free, but you're benefitting from the creations that other people made mostly for themselves. If you want your custom CAW for free, develop the skills and make it yourself. Ask for help-- there are people who will help. But don't ask the people who are doing the absolute best work, who are obviously busy doing their own thing, then be offended if they won't drop everything to make you something for free.

Some of you in the community need to learn to behave like thoughtful human beings.

@Ravenos gets it - it's really sad it had to come to this for people to acknowledge that the outrage some felt was misplaced.

I defended on Reddit, DM'd a few people who wanted it explained and did what I could do defuse what was, essentially, a misunderstanding.

I've paid people to make tattoos - you think I could make those Wolfgang sleeves? Please? Happy to pay @GameElite™ for his time - wish I could have paid him more. I paid Defract to make my personal CAW face texture - happy to do it.

Hopefully Ryeedee sees the support and takes some time off to recharge. People are demanding and jump to conclusions quickly when they feel they are entitled to something - recreational outrage has become a massive problem on social media!

Anyway, hopefully the matter is closed and we can all get back to what matters, now, I hope, with a better sense of how to treat each other on this forum when it comes to someone you don't know AT ALL and their personal time and effort.

Agreed nick and Ravenos i remember you. I defended where i can i dont even visit reddit. Personal caws do not have to be shared. Hope ryee is back. I will keep in touch with him.though via Dms. Ryee gets abuse even on caws he shares on cc.

Anyway no doubt people will keep posting thier 2 cents. Moving on Nick you are right and i agree as discussed earlier.

But he isn't trying to sell them here. It's through PMs.

My two cents.

No one wants Ironman. If someone wants  to pay someone who makes wrestlers to make non wrestlers, so be it. I would gladly pay to get some obscure mid card guy that no one cares about. That's me. After trying to make CAWs myself for the last couple of years (shameless plug: I have the most downloaded ACH on PS4), I do believe it's an art at this point. Specifiably on the level that Ryee, Defract, Nick, Bhangra and a bunch of others do it. I see no problem with him charging. He hasn't hid wrestlers behind a paywall. So let him charge to make Ironman. It's no different than asking an artist to draw Spiderman and he charges you.

Hope you come back Ryee.
