It will be 00228.pac since that's the ID listed for Layla's entrance mod in Data Editor 2k18, which is also the ID for the 2k17 mod. What you also will need to do is export her moveset file using CCT and check the entrance ID assigned is correct.

Now she finally gets to the ring, but skips her entire entrance.

I don't know what I did wrong.

Can you open the entrance file 00228.pac in a hex editor and check it's ID is 228. Remember you will also need to rebuild if you changed the name. The entrance is skipped because it can't be located.

I went here: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1pcfc3iNtdK5KGiraz5kddAjO0hZBdaiU

to download the file 00228.pac

copy / pasted in the pac\evt folder..... and nothing.... same thing.

still skips her entrance.

What am I missing?

What I have done is extract the wwe 2k16 entrance, trons, effect, light and theme  for Layla from 2k16, also the entrance in 2k17 with effects and lights. You can download and extract the zip. You will only need to use one set, either the 2k16 or 2k17 ones.

So much Thank You!

Question: I hear about this "extracting" files, how is this done?

Are there any video tutorials?

What (or which) programs do I need?

Hi,

I did not extract these files, I just copied them from the 2k16 and 2k17 sub folders. Extracting pac files is similar to extracting a file from a zip archive. You will need to open the zip archive and extract the file you want from it. To do this you will need Pac Editor , which is a free tool you will find on this forum. You can also inject the extracted file back into the archive to overwrite the previous one.

I know about the Zip..... I got it working, in case that you missed it..... here is again:

Thank You!!!!

But I was wondering about the Extracting files from previous games, for example, I would like to know how to extract files from older games for:

The Road Warriors

Demolition

Terry Funk

George Steele

etc.... anyone who has been on previous games, I would like to add their entrance properly.

I try to google this but I keep getting stuff that has nothing to do with extracting titraton  files.

Hi,

are you talking about extracting entrance animation files from last gen games ? These will not work in current gen games. If you are talking about titantron files, these will work. Do you have files for the older games ? @AznBlusuazn has a download  link on his thread.

The titantron files.

No I don't have them.

This is a new Notebook (2 months) .... plus I threw away all old games years ago when my PS3 died.

Besides this Notebook doesn't has a disk drive either. :(

EDIT: I managed to install and load:

Michelle Mc Cool

Psicosis

Jacques Rougeau

but failed with Jacques partner Pierre Quebecer he doesn't appear in the list.

Hi,

Did you ensure the name string ID is correct ? Is the Layla entrance fully working now ?

Yes Layla is working perfect!

Well I don't know, when I look at the name String Sheet through the link on Data Editor his name is in RED and it says: "To be ADD"

so.. has it?

Then I try the string for The Mountie (I know not the same for Pierre but close enough) but still not appear in the game.

I haven't tried again cause I was creating a CAW of Bruiser Brody.

Are you using the superstring string.win.pac file in azn's thread.

Here is the link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kkWnA741DlMA6BAOBEngbAP4zf6JJ-29/view

Here is a link to @AznBlusuazn's Vanilla files pack for previous wwe games.

I think I have the last Super String (downloaded through 2k18+)

I see the files in that link, problem is, how do I know which movies belong to which characters?

Same, if I want a certain character, how do I know which one is for which character?

EDIT: Right now I'm trying to figure out how to name correctly alt attires.

I am beginning with Chris Benoit,  manage the game to recognize the attires.... but they have no names.

I try to give them a name (random/any color name) but the game doesn't see the names (any).

Using Data Editor for this.

I use the string on Azn's thread. It seems to have a few more updated string names, so I suggest you replace the 2k18 + string pac with this.

You can find the ch pac list for some of the previous games here.

Thank you again, I thought that I had the latest string.... oooops.

This fixed Pierre.

Also figure it out how to install the alt attires (successfully di Benoit 10 attires)

Now I am going to try with Punk and a few others.

Something happened (not sure what) but I lost ALL alt attires for Benoit!

Also I setup the files on Data Editor for alt attires for Hogan, Punk, Yokozuna, Muta and a few others.... but I can't see anyone's alt attires.

The way that I named it before for Benoit, I gave them some random name and then load them on game and name each one and save. (I thought I did)

So I then added the files for the others and when I try to do the same..... whoops....

What go you think went wrong?

Hi,

When you say random values, are you re getting to values from the name string sheet or just any value. Remember you need to look up the names to use on the string sheet in hex. You need to first click on save attire names...., then click on save misc.......... . The game should not be running when you edit the alternate attire tab in data editor.

Thanks.

I was clicking on the wrong thing to "save it".

Did it again this morning and now they all work!

Now I guess I have to load them in game, one by one and write down an attire name for each.

Then with the game OFF.... go back to Data Editor and named them / Save.
