d-fish Posted July 15, 2018 Posted July 15, 2018 I was wondering what associates a prop [which goes into the Prop folder inside the MOD folder] with a Wrestler? For instance, [in Azn's Hulk Hogan 2k18 MOD] Hulk Hogan's shirt or boa props [2870_Hogan_Retro_Yellow_Shirt.pac or 2828_Hogan_Modern_RY_Boa.pac] have no numerical similarity to his Wrestler ID... So what links the prop with the Wrestler? Is there something in the Wrestler's pofo or moveset that let's the game know that these entrance props are associated with Hulk Hogan? Or is it something in the Wrestler's pac file that links the prop to the Wrestler? Thank you, in advance, for your time & help! Quote
Cave Waverider Posted July 15, 2018 Posted July 15, 2018 Like everything in the game, these props have their own prop IDs and don't usually match any other ID numbers. They are used for various things, including entrance animations. In the case of entrances, their IDs are referenced in the entrance animation files. The boa and shirt you see on Hogan during the first part of the entrance is actually part of the wrestler's ch*.pac file and have their own unique IDs so the game can unrender them. Once Hogan (or any other wrestler with files in these slots in the .pac) enters the ring, these two items disappear and are replaced by the props specified for the last part of the entrance. This is why even if you have a Hogan attire with a different shirt or boas, they change into whatever the prop assigned to the last part of the entrance is. 1 Quote
