Chg001 Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 the sounds are appearing in the music_misc_2_m.pck file but not actually playing ingame Quote
CujoMatty Posted July 21, 2018 Posted July 21, 2018 Did you install the sounds when the game was running in the background? That’s what I did and was having the same issue. I closed the game and reimported the sounds and it worked. Quote

Yes i have even just tried using task manager to close down steam and then doing it but the music stays the same Quote
TheVisitorX Posted July 21, 2018 Posted July 21, 2018 Close SE and reopen the file again. Do you still hear the changed music in SE? If so, then at least it's not because you had the game open. Next, please try to change another file. There is always the chance that a file exists multiple times (through different archives or DLC files). If all this does not work, then unfortunately, I don't know any other solution. But if the game still plays the original file, then it is most likely due to one of the two problems (write-protected sound archive or duplicate files). Or you are working with a file from another (backup)folder, which I exclude here ;). Quote

And yes when i close and reopen SE i hear the new sound but i don't hear it ingame. I also checked the write permissions and i have full control. When i have looked at videos online of how to do this they run Update_Index.bat but after i run that the game will not start and gives me a crash. So i use rebuild def in wwe 2k18+. Thanks for the response though! Quote
TheVisitorX Posted July 22, 2018 Posted July 22, 2018 (edited) Wait.. Do you hear the original theme in the game or do you hear nothing? If it is nothing then its most likeky due an older or not compatible wem file. Regenerate the cache / rebuild def is not needed for sounds, only for Pac files!
