Porting Over Superstars

Ok, so I would like to learn how to port Superstars over from past games into 2K18 myself since some people I am looking for I cannot find on here.

I believe in the past you needed X-Packer, correct? But after Googling it and clicking on the first site for x-Packer, the person who runs the page says they were not updating X-Packer/X-Rey to support 2K18.

So how does porting people work without X-Packer? I'm confused.

Please help!
