Modding button icons

Hi,

I play on my PC with a Playstation 2 controller connected via an adapter.

The button icons displayed by the game are generic ones (circled numbers) and this is quite annoying, especially for a beginner who still has to learn the commands.

So I've tried to modify the generic icons as my first custom mod.

The beginning was quite promising: I've found a file with a quite relevant name, ltag_wwe18_font_win.pac, located in ./pac/menu/win/Assets/, and when I unpacked it, it was containing two .ftpk files.

The second one, contained 3 dds files including this one:

which I replaced by:

before injecting it back.

Unfortunately, it didn't change anything. Neither in menu, nor in gameplay prompts.

Does anyone know where there might be other button textures? I've been searching in some files from the ./pac/menu/ folder, but with no luck so far. Also, as I'm a modding beginner, is there a map project which lists known contents of pac files?
