Hey guys my first night of modding was a mixed bag. Got my custom music to work but Im having an issue using the data editor to add modded wrestlers. I added the POFO and moveset files with the data editor and when I hit add pofo with cct it asks me to direct it to a file. I assume it wants me to guide it to the wwe 2k18 exe? So I do and hit enter and nothing happens....Im a little confused. I read that you can use the editor to add pac, pofo and moveset files easily as oppesed to the longer methods. Is this accurate? The Wiki page is confusing...Any help? Im looking for basic directions on how to add a created wrestler to WWE2k18 from the files here on Smacktalks using data editor and CCT. Also, how do you add a picture of your created wrestler to the character selection menu as they appear as a generic shape instead when added. Can anyone direct me to a useful install video becasue I am not having any luck with this. Thank you.

In Data Editor, the first time you try to install something via CCT (or just start CCT from the Tools Tab), it will open a file dialog which is called "Choose your Custom Character Tools executable" (which should be pretty self-explanatory, really). Simply browse to the directory where you have installed Custom Character Tools 2018 (CCT) in and select said .exe file. Data Editor will then send the .pofo, .moveset, .team_info or .match file you have open to Custom Character Tools, which will load the files and you can then click the install button there to install them to the running game. At this point, the Data Editor Tutorials as well as the Installing Mods Wiki pages explain things in more detail.

In case you have pointed it to the wrong .exe, you can always use the Reset all External Tool Directories button in the Tools tab of Data Editor under Data Editor for WWE 2k18 Settings to the lower right to reset all the external tool directories, which will prompt you to select the External Tools' .exe file once more the next time you click on the relevant button.

Thank you Caverider. It makes sense now. When adding a tron do I have to load both the moveset and pofo or just the moveset in data editor when installing a custom tron to the CAW?

Trons are handled by the .moveset file, so only that.
