Editing of TX files

Hey all,

I understand how to use 2k18+ to edit the pach files for ch numbers. e.g. ch20002 and ch20004 to ch20012 and ch20014 and use CCT18 to add them in as alternate attires. But it seems you cannot use 2k18+ to edit the tx files this way.

I and another person earlier encountered an issue when trying to add alternate attires for the New Day. Xavier Woods has tx files (tx42002, and tx42004 respectively). I have downloaded two awesome attires of The New Day. However, both attires have the same pac numbers. This isn't a problem for Big E and Kofi Kingston seeing as they only have ch pac files. However, Xavier Woods also has tx numbers for both attires. These being tx42002 and tx42004. Is there a way of editing one of the attires numbers to tx42012 and tx42014 so as to be able to use both attires in the game? At the moment I am having to use one attire because I can't edit the tx files.

Hi,

The tx files in the pac\ch folder are not attire files. They are texture files which contain textures for hair skin, clothing etc. The attire files should be in the format ch420x2.pac and 420x4.pac. Can you let me know which alternate attires you are trying to add (the source I mean)

Yes sure they are attires created by @RevONiKO. They are awesome attires, but alas I haven't been able to add them into the game as alternate attires.

Yes I did test this out. I also experienced the same issue. I extracted  the tx files, edited the 14.onet files inside but it wouldn't work as a separate attire.

Best way will be to rebuild Xavier Woods pac with the texture files from the tx textures included the 42002.pac and 42004.pac files, creating new pac files ch42012 and ch42014. Its a lovely attire. Will be great if @RevONiKO could do this.

I could, but since it's his work, It will have to be done with permission.

Maybe mention this to him. You two are modders and I am not so sadly I could have no involvement with it. For now I will have to keep swapping out the attires manually outside of the game. It's annoying but its better than nothing for now. Thanks for taking a look.
