Jaiharpur Posted December 28, 2017 Posted December 28, 2017 Need help. Haven't touched my game in 4-5 days but it was fine last time I did. I had a hulk Hogan mod installed and had replaced several theme songs. Now turning on my game it installed something and it won't open. Every time I press start it says "Game data either damaged or couldn't be found. To use current save data you need to reinstall the latest content update" Any ideas on if that will actually help and if so how do I reinstall the latest content update? It doesn't give me a option from this screen. I know for a fact it's due to the mod and changed music because my nodded version is saved in my E drive, while my steam UN-modded version works fine. Is there any way to save my nodded version? Or will I have to always redo everything after a update? Quote
Cave Waverider Posted December 28, 2017 Posted December 28, 2017 It's recommended that you always install your mods into the \WWE 2k18\mods\<ModName>\pac\ folder (and update the Chunk0.def to point it to the right path - or just use Custom Character Tools 2018' Install->CH-Pac files menu entry to install the mods. You can also use CCT's Utilities->Regenerate Chunk0.def option for the "smart" regenerator). That way, the game won't overwrite them when it updates. This only works for .pac files, however. Things like .pck, .bk2 and other files that you still need to overwrite in the regular game directories you'll have to backup and restore manually. Although the game normally doesn't update the .pck and tron files anyhow. With the error message you get, however, it looks like your save game is corrupted. I hope you backed it up. If so, start Steam in Offline mode, close it again, restore the backed up saved game, start Steam in Offline Mode again, start the game, it should now load the backed up save. Save the game by changing some attribute or other value of a Superstar, then go back to the game menu and exit the game normally. Exit Steam, then restart it in online mode. Start the game while online again. This should now open a prompt that the save on the disk is newer and ask you what to do. Choose Upload the save to the cloud. It should do that and start the game. Once you are in the game, the save should load fine. Save once more as described before and exit the game. Let Steam Sync the savegame. 1 Quote
Jaiharpur Posted January 1, 2018 Author Posted January 1, 2018 Thanks. I ended up reinstalling due to the update but now strangely when I go to insert the Hogan mods they're already inserted. (So it must have kept some of my past game) But now when I inject them again using wwe+ the game bugs any time I try to use them Quote
