Squaredcircle... will the Hogan Comeback work when set as a finisher? If so, does it have strong damage like a finisher?

Also, I just installed the new files from your post on Page 1 and the Hogan Comeback isn't showing up in custom moveset. I think the createmode.pac is the wrong one. I used the createmode.pac  from page 14 and everything seems to be working just fine. Great job!

Hi. A comeback will work when set as a finisher or signature. I've done this multiple times. The only thing is, unlike a normal move, it will display the trigger prompts during the sequence. Also if a comeback is used as a finisher, it wouldn't give you an extra signature icon at the end of the sequence like a comeback does. But it works.

The easiest way will be to export Hogan's moveset and set the Comeback as a signature or finisher using Data editor. Inject back into the game afterwards. You can't select a comeback as a finisher in the game by default.

I removed the Hogan Comeback partial listing.

If you want to use the Hogan Comeback as a finisher or signature, you can change bytes in the createmode.pac file.

Initially you will have set the Hogan Comeback as his comeback.

Exit the game, open the createmode.pac file and search for Hulk Hogan Comeback. You will see the following data

Offset(h) 00 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 0A 0B 0C 0D 0E 0F

00006100  00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 C0 79 44  .............ÀyD
00006110  00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 8A C5 00 00 00 00 00 00  ........ŠÅ......
00006120  00 00 00 00 DB 0B 90 00 00 01 00 00 00 FF FF 00  ....Û........ÿÿ.
00006130  00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 80 00 00 00 00 00  ..........€.....
00006140  00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 48 75 6C 6B 20 48 6F 67  ........Hulk Hog
00006150  61 6E 20 43 6F 6D 65 62 61 63 6B 00 00 00 00 00  an Comeback.....
00006160  00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00  ................
00006170  00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00  ................
 Change the 80 00 marked in blue ( offset 613A and 613B) to 78 80.

Save the file.

When you restart the game, you will be able to select The comeback as a finisher or signature. You can do this for any comeback animation. As I said before, you still get the trigger prompts. You will also get a strong damage like a finisher.

After wwe 2k15, 2k seem to have adjusted the damage logic for comeback moves , as the main aim of the moves are to gain a signature icon when the character's health is low.

With this you don't need to set it in data Editor as you can select it in the CAM menu.

It looks like with the latest update of this mod Springboard moves aren't selectable in the in-game moveset editor anymore.

Hi @Cave Waverider. Thank you for pointing this out. I just checked in the moveset editor too. It's due to additional moves I wanted to list in the createmode.pac  file.

Can you try the createmode.pac file  I have posted below in your game ?

Hi all,

I have updated the download link with an amended createmode.pac file in the root folder. @Cave Waverider reported an issue with springboard moves not being selectable in the Create a moveset editor. This was due to a duplicate entry I accidentally forgot to remove from the file. It's been rectified in the updated zip file.

Here is the link. It's also on the first page.

https://mega.nz/#!k7IlBbTC!vNdVfeIj03ukTvtVoQKRrrYkT-ciWH4edbcVNdQnJ6k

Update : New update to the 50_param.pac  file. Fixed a minor issue where there was no health damage on the Big Boot in the comeback animation sequence.

  • BlindedByTheGrace changed the title to Move animations from older games - additional moves and Fixes -9th June - Hulk Hogan Comeback animation now added

Hi,

To make things easier, all the ported moves, updates and fixes are now packed in a single zip file.

even if you need to reinstall your game and mods, you will just need to download the single zip file and extract its contents to the appropriate location.

Thank your for all your hard work, @squaredcirclefan! Especially for all the Hogan moves! It's just a detail but it adds so much more realism when he uses his real moves! I can't thank you enough for your work on the run-ins and break outs and your updated/added moves.

You're welcome. You guys all do great work and It's just a little contribution to the forum.

Yes you are right about the realism. I personally even prefer to use his comeback as his finisher as it incorporates his signature moves and ends in a pin.

Thank you  @squaredcirclefan, this has been the one I've been waiting for ever since they took it out of 2K16. Putting that move as a finisher has been a mini-dream ever since Legends of Wrestlemania. Thank you for giving us the Hogan experience that we need!

You're welcome. Just take note that you normally can't select a comeback as a signature or finisher in the create a moveset screen. You will either have to use data editor .

the other way is through the method I outlined below in a previous post.

If you want to use the Hogan Comeback as a finisher or signature, you can change bytes in the createmode.pac file.

Exit the game, open the createmode.pac file and search for Hulk Hogan Comeback. You will see the following data

Since the move is already set as his comeback, it wouldn't change. However it wouldn't work as a strike or grapple move As I said before, you still get the trigger prompts. You will also get a strong damage like a finisher.

Hi,

I have added a new download link on the first page of this thread which fixes a glitch with the Ultimate Splash Pin 2 during the pin count.

This is not linked with the Hogan Comeback pin , but due to a file I had accidentally removed earlier in the year which I thought conflicted with the Hogan Leg Drop.

Here is the link

An updated link added to the Hogan Comeback animation.

Here is the link  https://mega.nz/#!8qIz2aTA!l8_goodkaw22VtWIA0rxr6c-Zc5O_dP2QRJTNAJr9hI

The link is also available on the first post

FIX:

a minor fix for an issue where there was no damage or depleted health  after the second Hogan punch right before the Irish whip.

Normally The Hulk Hogan Comeback sequence is programmed with a higher level of damage than other comebacks or even higher than a normal finisher  when used as one.

The opponent health meter will be depleted at :

1. the opponent punch at the start of the sequence

2. The First Hogan Punch

3. The second Hogan Punch

4 The Big Boot

5. The leg drop

This should normally result to about two and a half times the damage impact of a normal comeback or finisher if used as one, just as it is in wwe 2k15.

Any way you can import the bicycle kick from WWE 2K17 to WWE 2K18 as the one in 2K18 is much slower and looks like it barely connects as the one in 2K17 looks beautiful

Hi,

That move (Bicycle Kick 1) was  reanimated for wwe 2k18. The ID for both moves are the same which means it will work best if replacing the newer animation in the same slot. It wouldn't work as well if placed in a different slot.

How would I go about replacing the move?

(Relatively new to this)

The way to go about this will be extracting the motion file for the Bicycle kick (A413.pac) from the wwe 2k17 mot file and injecting it into wwe 2k18 file. I can extract the file in inject if you want. the only thing is the animation will replace the 2k18 bicycle kick.

Completely fine with it replacing the 2k18 bicycle kick and can you extract the file in inject for me?

Would have tried it myself but I forgot I bought 2K17 on xbox one instead of PC

Hi , a new minor update has been added.

The modified motion_param_pcdb.pac file contains additional data for Hulk Hogan's comeback  removed from WWE 2K18. This data was still present in wwe 2k17. Link on the first page.

What about Goldberg Spear 4, any updates> :D

can we port The Rock's Title Entrance Motion from 2k17 and The Rocks Spit Punch from 2K15, the one we can directly hit

Shawn Michael's Running Super Kick from 2K15?

If you look in my arena thread you can see I moved rocks face title entrance from 2k17 over the crap "modern era hopping rock one" so he now has 98/99 & 00/01 title motions , its very easy for you to do yourself.

I'm all for adding back rocks spit punch ONLY if it doesn't replace the combo one.

@squaredcirclefan Any chance in figuring out the hogan and austin title win motions and getting them working?
