Empty Chunk.arc file is this normal?

Is it normal after I have emptied or deleted the contents of the chunk.arc file to remain empty each time I open it? Or do I have to convert it back to a def file again rather than a txt file?

That's what I thought. I just get confused when folk say to keep deleting it when you add a new pac file etc. But every time I go to do this it is empty anyway. So, rightly or wrongly, I am assuming that I don't have to keep updating this file by deleting.
