nsieniski Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 I am really impressed by the game quality so far (except for bugs, glitches and crashes... unfortunately, no surprise here) Visually, it was about time that 2K use the PBR (physically based materials). It's been the standard for materials and lighting for every current gen games for the last 4 years.... So yes the lighting is great... finally. I like the little details like the mat moves under the wrestlers feet when fighting (mostly noticeable in NXT arena) The sweat mechanic is awesome.... finally I really dig the gameplay even if I still suck at submissions and I think that the superstars stay laying on the mat too long when hit. The matches seem real and really have a TV feel to them. Same for the atmosphere, the NXT feel is incredible. The few promos I did were great to. I like the fact that in Create a Moveset you can actually practice moves with an idl opponent. Great to get use with the controls. I noticed that custscenes happen more often in Universe, awesome. The Universe booking is still dumb (making matches between superstars from the same tag team...... ). I like the new Rivalries in the making, it's a good addition and it probably opens the door to more cutscenes So far so good, It's been years since I enjoyed a Wrestling game that much I hope we'll get a patch soon.... Good to know for us PC Players....I am dedicated to talking you into PC modding this game. You were deadly with your 360 mods, good lawd I'd love to see what you'd do with next gen mods. Anyways, always good to see you back on the forums. Quote
AgeofSandow Posted October 16, 2017 Posted October 16, 2017 I heard there was lag in the 8 man matches, and the movesets are atrocious Quote

Triple H doesn’t even have the car Pedigree assigned, nor does Cena have the carry position Attitude Adjustment by default. Both new features and they can’t even get those right. Quote

A friend told me they put a TKO in Styles's rope grapples(somehow). I want the drugs they're using. 1 Quote

I wonder what took them so long to use a better lighting engine? Quote
nsieniski Posted October 17, 2017 Author Posted October 17, 2017 pbr is physically based rendering... I wonder what took them so long to use a better lighting engine? Right and we use physically based materials that respect real life physic algorithms and specific textures The good thing with PBR is that the the materials always look good whatever the lighting is. Metal will loo like a metal. Quote
towdow3 Posted October 17, 2017 Posted October 17, 2017 yeah, I used to mess around with rendering in Daz3d and the stuff I've SEEN Nvidia's iRay do is nothing short of amazing. Quote
