Lasagna Toppa's drip oil, somehow this was a crisis

So early this morning as I was trying to do paperwork I got a memo from head office, quickly followed by a phone call from my ops manager stressing over the urgency of this memo. Basically, it has just been brought to their attention that lasagna toppa's drip oil. This is a massive problem in regards to food health and safety regulations, as the planogram (as approved by head office) puts the lasagne on the top shelf, meaning it drips onto other products and creates cross contamination. Not to mention it makes the pie warmer look like shit when too much oil drips onto other products, and we can't have that. I then had to waste almost an hour explaining this to everyone, explaining where the lasagna toppas have to go now, and showing them how to quickly and efficiently clean the pie warmer (which confused the shit out of Ravi, because he actually knew all this and couldn't understand why I was going over it with him, now he seems to think he was doing it wrong, and as a result will probably fuck something up. So glad that happened)...

Thing is, I've been aware of lasagna toppas dripping oil since my first week. Stacey changed the planogram months ago so the lasagna toppas were already right where we were told to move them to (which makes me wonder how they're just finding out about this, we had to get their approval to do that..), and we've already made sure everyone knows how to clean the pie warmer quickly and efficiently. So it was a complete waste of time, I tried explaining this but they still made me do it anyway. Made me feel like a complete fucking retard, and I have to do the same thing with the people that weren't working today, and write a report stating that everyone understands that lasagna toppas drip oil, and the dangers involved. I was supposed to get the coffee machine fixed today, but that never happened because I was too busy explaining the dangers of lasagna toppas dripping oil to appease head office. I really shouldn't be surprised, but I can't believe that actually happened. But at least I dealt with the nonexistent lasagna crisis, right?

Any of you guys have any kind of mind numbingly stupid work stories to share?

I can't believe I uttered a word that discriminates against people with mental disabilities, and tried to imply that there is anything wrong with feeling as though you have a mental disability. It's a good thing I had my priveledge checked and learned how to control my micro aggressions. I'd like to sincerely apologise to everyone who may have been offended by my actions.
