X-Packer help! Accessing *.DDS files?? Screenshots inside

Hey there,

Beginner here with a beginner question. Trying to do some Texture modding with X-Packer following @tekken57 tutorials.

I can access the Head.DDS file just fine but when it comes to 000A.zlib - where, its my understanding, the DDS attire files are located - The following displays:

xpac.jpg

Is there a step (or many) that I am missing here? How can I access the attire DDS files? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Secondary question:
In order to add/change hair styles, would I require X-Rey? Is there another way to accomplish this? Thanks so much

(Mods - sorry for double post)

The trunk textures are in 000C listed "all_color".

The other stuff is listed in the 000A, extract all the textures from the 000A to a folder. You'll then see them all.

Always so helpful @GameElite™ thank you again.

Okay, so I "Open Texture Archive" (ctrl+t) and then select 000C.zlib.uncompressed.

Then, I extract all the files? I'm still not seeing any trunk textures. The "all_color" in 000C is only showing body textures (teeth, arms, etc)... Still can't find the attires.

Where have I gone off the rails?

Yes and they're there. Depending who it is they might be completely blacked out. I recommenced opening someone's all_color who wears trunks already, such as Randy Orton or Scott Dawson.

But I saw in your 000A a file called "outfit" open that up.

"Outfit" and all other files (besides the 4 DDS files at the top) extract as *.Pac - How do I open these?

Yes, as I know, you can change hair styles only with  X-ray

You use ctrl+y for PC texture pac files.

THANK YOU SO MUCH

That's it. So I don't continually come back asking these dumb questions, is there a resource out there that provides a bit of instruction, beyond Tekken57's website?

@AmericanONE Thanks buddy. As soon as I get the hang of texture modding, I'll get me a copy of X-Rey.
