I keep encountering this problem every time I try and load the game. I've tried reinstalling and verifying the files.

The Brock Lesnar screen is the only screen that appears before I get the error WWE2K17_x64.exe has stopped working.

If anyone has any solutions to this, that would be greatly appreiciated. Thanks.

Does your pc have the right specs to run it?

It does. I've been able to play it before for a couple hundred hours without any issues. It just doesn't work anymore for some reason and I don't seem to know why.

Try opening the .exe from the game directory.

hmm, that's weird. Have you tried launching in compatibility mode?

Well, coincidentally my game just did it and I fixed it by going into the game directory and then I ran it in administrator and it worked again.

That's really odd, I tried putting it in administrator and it still crashes

Normally what happens is that when someone reinstall the game they do not empty the install folder.  What this means that any new files will not be replaced so when the game is reinstalled without the Chunk Cache Files being emptied it will not load.

If you want an unmodded game I suggest completely emptying your WWE 2K17 Folder and then Reinstalling / Verify game cache, this is the best way to get a clean install.

If you want to mod the game empty the Chunk Cache Files Similar to this video.  (Yes it's for 2K16 but it's the same process)  Do this for both chunk_cache.bin and chunk_cache2.bin

When you say completely emptying you mean deleteing all of the contents of the steamapps/common/WWE2K17 ?

I'll try that and then reinstall and see what happens.

yeah I mean 100% empty that folder.  That's the best way to get a clean install.  If there is 1 messed file it doesn't work.

Okay, I reinstalled it (after waiting for 3 hours after RAW at 4am) while I was sleeping and it worked. Thanks for the help!
