I think someones already mentioned it, but I hope they've fixed the BS were people can rob your personally created graphics and upload them and claim them as their own.

Think that was me during my rant. I hope they remove it but keep the ability to import attires. Just treat imported attire logos like face photo logos.. because those for sure can’t be stolen

yeah we had to ban someone from our PS4 community cause he got caught doing that and then it turned out he had like 15 different accounts signed up for said community so when he got banned he came back on as another identity cursing himself out.

but yeah i do hope that's been addressed. If i download say a Buff Bagwell and turn him into marcus bagwell, i ain't gonna upload it. i have enough respect and gratitude for the person that originally made the buff that i'm only gonna use him for my game lol

like tyrant uploaded a buff bagwell and didn't turn the reupload option off so 2 days later there was the same bagwell uploaded like 15x's which i understand is not the same as you were saying but it's still sad

i still remember someone stole the caw of myself i uploaded and kept uploading it over and over nothing special i still don't get why they uploaded it i thought i was disliked by the cawing community or whatever but this dude uploaded my caw like 25 times. it was the chris danger fiasco all over again lol

i'm really worried they removed kane's entrance with paul bearer.

or people can just stop being so serious with all those things, and acting like they created the new sistine chapel. For 99% of the caw, the first person who steal things is the caw creator, we use logos, design etc...we have no rights on, we use pics of real person to create them without their agreement in a videogame, and we claim it's our property, So basically everyone who created a non original caw is a robber too, just like the guys who steal caw, design logo or whatever you want.

if you were talking about original caw wich use logos or design that didn't already exist then it's another problem

I wouldn’t give a shit if it’s a logo that I used from someone else (which I give credit for if I do use) but I hand draw most of my shit.. and if not then I’ll use photos of actual matches you can find online and make my own textures by taking screenshots, cropping and editing the shit out of it to make it work for the caw. That shit takes me hours, and for some prick to just download my shit and be able to upload it as their own is frustrating.

If it’s a simple shirt logo, knee pad logo, shit that you can make with the lasso tool to crop, then it’s all fair game.. but even if I did use a logo that’s available online, like let’s say one of SMK’s RVD singlet textures (which again, I give credit for) or Main Event Gear posts close-up pics of a wrestlers attire (I also give them credit for the source) I’m still the one who makes the crops, edits, and strategically places the logos so they can fit correctly and look good. It’s not something that I can do in a couple of minutes because the textures don’t come cropped.. I make the puzzle myself and figure out how to solve it.. I’ll be damned if I’m just going to act like it doesn’t bother me when someone just imports my shit and puts it on their own caw.

These are public figures, with their photos all over the place online. People draw them, people take pictures of them when they see them in person, they use social media and post their pics online and they should feel honored that people care enough about them to create them in a video game. I don’t have a YouTube that uses ad revenue for personal gain, I make no money making non-original wrestlers.. I do it for fun, and because I’m an artist who feels capable of recreating a wrestler who isn’t able to be in the game. Besides, most wrestlers are happy when they see their digital selves created.

But my problem is with logo thieves. If I were to use a face texture someone made, found it online, used it and didn’t ask permission or give credit, then that’s theft. If it’s a face photo, and I make the face texture from scratch... it’s my work and if you somehow get your hands on it, upload it without credit.. you’re stealing. I don’t care who it’s a photo of.. I made enough changes on it to make it mine.

Killshot (Shane Strickland) entrance is in. Holy fuck. Not sure if Alpha Omega is Kenny Omega's.

And that Fearless one looks like Pentagon Jr's entrance to me. Definitely NOT Sabu.

But it seems Austin Aries' entrance is gone :(

I'm not sure, but those don't change much over the years so just forget it lol

I know what creating caw means, the amount of work you put in. I've doing this shit since 15 years.

My point is even if you redo every logos or texture from scratch you don't legaly own them. Of course if someone else use them, credits should always be given, but don't understand how mad people get when it's not, I mean who cares if a random guy is so desperate that it needs to steal other people works to get a bit of downloads on a wrestling videogame.

I've seen tons of my caw and mods posted elsewhere without credits, but I have never been angry because I saw things I made on a russian blog, a 25 views youtube video or in the 18th page of cc. I'm not talking about you particulary but for example I don't get people who say they stop modding or cawing or sharing their things just because someone tried to boost his ego by using things they made and dont even have legal rights on.

No, some people actually recreate the logos themselves like I do...

I shouldn't have to see logos I spend hours recreating on someones SHIT arena creation and have them claim they made them.

Yeah I understood and I do create my logos too, but that doesn't change a thing, you don't have any rights on them, you recreated a logo designed by someone else. You too claim to be yours something is not.

I do understand the frustration, but it'a furstration we have to deal with. We can't ask restriction for that, because it limits what we can share, for example I made a wcw version for rell7thirty's chavo (so attire, hair, face texture etc...) I can't copy the attire to another slot because all 100 slot are filled, so I just can't upload it (if I could I would ask first and gave credit ;) ), if the same system is applied to logo, it would be even worse.

Yes but the point Tich is making is that even if you make all your logos from scratch, you don't own them. You aren't creating anything, you're simply recreating someone else's design. To be fair he's right, that is theft.

That being said, it's still a problem that needs to be addressed in some way. Especially for arenas since they're so insanely easy to recreate someone else's work once you have their work. During 2K16 hovathagod32 wasn't able to upload his work at one point because he didn't have enough downloads, he would've though if people weren't reuploading all of his work and leaching downloads. If it was simply a case of people stealing work it'd be one thing, but when quality creators aren't able to share their work because some asshole reupped their shit and cut off their downloads, then it becomes a problem that ruins it for the rest of us.
