this is what i don't get with current era fans. they can get 80% of the current roster and still get mad cause 1 or 2 people get omitted. there's always dlc and if that doesn't work well there's caw mode.

Thank you for assuming that I'm purely a current era fan. I play as both current and legends as I've been a fan 15 plus years. 

My only point was that from a logic perspective, Billie and Peyton have been more relevant from a tv product these last 6 months or so than tm61 who have been off programming so it would be odd to see them omitted comparatively 

I look forward to your regular "I'm right, you're wrong" rebuttal 

Oh and as for people critiquing games or any other entertainment. Please show me one forum where people don't express disappointment. Nothings perfect and people are allowed to discuss their thoughts on such issues

i never said you were. i was using a generic statement.

based on what i've seen here, on caws.ws, the smackdown hotel, the 2kforums, twitter, facebook as well as other low ranking forum sites.

wasn't trying to stir anything but i'll bite

#1. in order to even be considered for a game you have to have merchandising contracts DIY signed their merchandising contracts with Roode last august which is why they weren't part of 2k17's dlc plans. I don't really watch nxt anymore so i don't know if billie and peyton have such contracts in place or not.

#2. it all comes down to WWE Marketing as to who on the current roster gets in. I don't have a direct quote or anything but there was something going around during 2k16's marketing that vince said something like he'd be damned if the 4HW were on the roster before the los matadores.  Flash forward to 2k16's release: 4HW weren't part of the game despite they were scanned and their moves were added. but the los matadores were. Like i said i don't know if that had anything to do with it but we all know that vince doesn't give a rats ass about the women's division in general.  BUT. from my assumption of last year's conference call i'm assuming that Triple H is in charge of the games' marketing from the wwe standpoint meaning he approves/disapproves of superstars requested for likeness/inclusion etc

#3 this is important. Their so called Cut off really doesn't mean anything anymore.it really hasn't for years.they claim it does but seeing Finn with his summerslam 17 attire but Mahal (while i prefer it) with his pre-title run look makes me think that they just add what they can.

I wouldn't mind peyton/bellie in just to have more women as part of the roster but idk, and yeah they have been way more relevant than TM-61 but i guess the only people that really know are 2K. but of course they never wantto share info.like why were harlem heat, piper,regal,xpac, and finlay removed despite all of them (barring stevie ray and piper) workfor WWE currently and Piper still had a legends contract last time i checked.

why were epico and primo still in their stupid matadores gimmick despite not using that gimmick for over a year and a half or whatever?

why weren't the usos without facepaint in 2k17?

andi never suggested you were a current era fan.

and there are plenty of threads where you have people going off on 2K on the most minuscule detail. Oh bret hart doesn't bend backon the sharpshooter like he does in real life.let's remove submissions. the Submission system sucks. let's bring back button smashing so we can break our controllers.  Oh and my personal favorite. I HATE DUPLICATES. REMOVE ALL LEGENDS! SHowcase is a waste of space remove it cause i don't play it.. 

these are just examples i've picked up over the last 2 or so months but alot of this goes back pretty far.

Definitely didn't mean or intend to upset you. critiquing is one thing but when it gets to where we tearthe entire game apart piece by piece it gets to a point to are we really critiquing or are we just complaining for the sake of complaining.

I agree there are issues with the series.plenty of issues i'd like to see rectified but it's the online crowd that's the problem. they have constantly been the reason why every glitch that happens happens. or limitation.

oh and here's another example about legends.

one guy on twitter. when i mentioned to 2k that i hope they didn't remove anymore legends like they did with harlem heat and xpac he responds

"legends aren't in demand they should be removed" this type of logic just annoys me to no end.Like i've stated i do more than just legend/retro universes i do current tna ecw etc.

none of those moves were added in WWE13 they were added last year and in 2k16

Is it not possible that Finn's new look was planned months ago when he was injured for whatever his next PPV was?

I can imagine that there are designs made up months ahead of it, as well as photoshoots etc. 

Is that not more likely than them waiting to see how he looks at Summerslam and then rushing to include it weeks before release.

Thanks for the in depth response, I actually agree with most of that. 

I just didn't like the assumption that I was a moaning modern fan, which I probably wrongfully assumed that you were digging at me about, for which I apologise for taking too personally. 

But yeah, there's always going to be little things in these games that annoy some folk and there'll always be a genuine reason as to why the games have those issues. Sadly if no one voiced their issues the developers would never change anything.

Honestly the roster is always great, in fact on a personal note this year's looks the best ever for me with the inclusion of guys like Kurt and RVD, but I'm assuming you'd be like me in wanting as many wrestlers in there as possible so that I can use caw slots for guys that are less likely to ever be included on disk. That would be my only frustration with Billie and Peyton not being included is that I'd want to use up 2 caw slots to include them when logically it would make sense that they'd already be on the game.

yeah it wasn't that likei said that message i got on twitter last night kinda set my entire night off wrong lol

but yeah don't get me wrong i'm glad the people that are in are in the point i was really making really went to those on WLF and the 2K forums. like they could get an entire full current roster (or in WLF's case get an entire 50 legends) and still find a way to say the game is gonna suck lol.

I think billie and peyton would make it but i'm thinking they would be dlc cause quite frankly i was expecting Ember and Sanity to be dlc just cause those 5 people alone are in high demand lol.  Every sanity and ember moon universe match i've done has gotten very high views and likes so yeah.

I'm glad kurt RVD and classic batista got in. i despise that 2014 look he had with a passion and didn't really care for his retro/evo model at all. In all honestly and i'm not even one of his huge fans, i'd love it if we got Punk back in the games but we know that's not gonna happen anytimes soon.As long as i can continue to create current, wwf/ruthless aggression, and wcw (97-01) eras i'm all good lol

and no problem man i used to get real personal on these forums but i learned it's best to sit back and diagnose every situation/response. and like you said everyone has what they like/don't like about the game. the thing i've stressed for years is we can have an unbelievable and incredible roster, but if the same issues exists, it would all be for nothing.

yeah i'm okay with people relaying their concerns, i know i've been one of the biggest complainers to 2k when it comes to removed moves, entrances features etc  but yeah i was referring to the few that find the smallest thing to complain about like "alex biss's hair looking like dry leaves or whatever" lol i mean yeah the hair could be better but i know there are much bigger concerns than that lol

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised in Billie and Peyton are DLC, those things are always a little tricky to predict year to year. Originally I thought that DLC would consist of Legends/HOF, CWC and UK title content, but I'm not so sure now or at least i'm anticipating being wrong.
Yeah Batista is a funny one, for a big name star he hasn't really had a truly iconic look (Aside Bluetista but that's more for lols)
I'd probably favour his Wrestlemania 21 look winning the world championship.

I doubt there will be a HoF pack this year since the only Hall of famer who isn't already in the game is Beth Phoenix. Without showcase, that would be meaningless. If anything it will be a Legends pack but this is unlikely neither.

no problem. yeah just pointing it out. the moves packs are the things i'm able to pretty much keep a locked mind about. i know most of those moves started surfacing in wwe2k16 i believe but the bulk of them showed up last year.

yeah i mean looking at the revealed so far, the obvious inclusions left to reveal we pretty much have the entire NXT and Main Roster, there's some from 205 that are missing but not much.i don't know if Metalik will make it in but will be cool if they do bugt i see Hardyz and Iconic Duo as DLC along with Black, maybe Ohno and afew other names.

yeah i only liked his post evolution runs (before the stupid batista/rey feud i just thought it was stupid how that happened) 

and yeah i mean seriously they remove Harlem heat and we get the damn matadores. it would have somewhat been okay if in 2k17 it would have been atleast the shining stars but the fucking matadores? LOL

no one has come out and confirmed there's no showcase there's just that one article and macho t as the only people that i've seen to say that. and macho t mostly reports stuff he sees and most of the time he's wrong.

anyway about NWJ not everyone is going to make this game i'm going to tell you that now.  It's kinda like when wwe does those annually purges and JTG was hiding to avoid anyone remembering he was on the roster. someone is getting cut. lol and they'll be on disc next year.

i'd much rather they fix kane's entrance first.

but yeah we need some more tag presett entrances but i'd prefer it if we had some more generic ones cause Unholy Alliance and Kane and Xpac really won't fit everyone or alot of caw tag teams. it's kinda like the DDP/Cactus entrance. you can't really use that entrance for anyone but DDP & Cactus because DDP's doing that proud strut and Cactus is doing the bang bang taunts lol

Seeing as all the members will be part of the game in some capacity, I'd be happy with an old school Evolution entrance, especially if they through the theme song and titantron in as well, as unlikely as that may be
