Changing Participants in Money in the Bank Ladder Match

So currently i'm at Money in the Bank PPV in my Universe Mode, and then i find out that the participants of the MITB Ladder Match are not who i want to be. So i'm thinking about changing some of them into the ones that i want.

But then i read some posts on reddit that says there is a glitch if you change the participants, it will not counted as a MITB Ladder Match and just as a Ladder Match therefore there is no Mr. Money in the Bank and the winner of the match cannot cashing in the briefcase.

So my question, is that true that i can't cash in the MITB briefcase if i change the participants of the match? Is the glitch still there and has it been fixed?

no that's not true. they don't know wtf they're talking about that issue has been fixed.

I did a women's MITB to simulate the SDL Women's MITB (Nikki was added in as the 6th person) i completely changed the participants.  i saved the match, played the match, Nikki won, she was recognized as MR. MIB well you know what i mean and i cashed in on Naomi.

do you it will work if i play the match? because i also want to play the ladder match, not just simulate it.

i didn't actually play the match but i did watch it so i don't see why it would be any different. (i got bored which is why i tested it out lol)
