eatrawmeat391 Posted July 20, 2017 Author Posted July 20, 2017 String Editor updated to version 2.1 - Added support for 2k17 version that used SHDC as string pac file. Quote
kim666 Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 This tool works also for 2K18. You just need to extract first all shdc files from the string file. Quote
circuitmanchaos Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 (edited) Okay, so with SVR 11 for PS3, all the dat files in every string pac are practically exactly the same. 00.dat from 0000.pac, from 0001.pac, and from 0504.pac are all the same except for sometimes the language. I'm not sure if this is normal, but if it is, does that mean I have to find and edit 00.dat, 03.dat, etc. in every single string pac they're in? And I'm confused about where to find the superstar names, nicknames, etc. to be able to edit those. Edited November 7, 2017 by circuitmanchaos Quote

Technically, you'll just have to edit the language you have the game set to, unless you want to release the file for others, then it's considered good form to update all languages. Quote

I believe its Yukes' plan to duplicating the text entries to obscure the real text pac.I normally run debug on it to see what files are right. If you need help finding the location of the text pac in 2011 then maybe I can help. lordmortimer Posted July 5, 2020 Posted July 5, 2020 I know it's old stuff but I hope somebody still plays this one. I managed to edit the .xlsx file, but I'm not sure about converting it back: do I have to click "Generate new file" to create a new .dat? Quote
