Crash Crash Crash :(

Hey guys

God knows what i'm doing wrong but i simply cant get anything done in this years 2K17 and seriously considering giving up

Right so story is....

Fresh start of WWE 2K17 - Cleaned Cache, updated string - Data editor : universal attire unlock and set all attires to the correct amount and saved.

Updated maybe 6/7 superstars including adding AJ Styles 10 attire, Alexa bliss 3 attire etc... maybe 20 attires all in all and all edited in Data editor along with change of attire names.

It seems i hit a point and it just crashes on start up. If i remove the last Ch i installed it works again - Driving me insane almost like ive hit a limit to what i can edit!!! Anyone else had anything like this?

 

** Completely deleted CH Folder and pasted back to factory works fine ** - So so weird....

so you get has crashed.. should you report error? after you click play on steam?

Click play on Steam > Splash.bmp for a good 30 seconds to 1 minute then Report error... Remove the Ch pack file i just added to the ch folder and works fine. its so random! iv tried lots of different files and always does that same.

hmmm.. did you replace the bin files already?

as in cache? ha yes of course.

I have tried a fresh install to and its almost like once i have reached about 20 attires it doesnt want to allow me to have anymore.

yes with blank chunk_cache.bin and chunk_chache2.bin files...

thats weird 20 characters with alternate attires? or 20 alternate attires?...

try restarting steam.. or your pc...

maybe you deleted something important?

usually if its a CH problem then it should crash upon selecting the character OR.. if that character is supposed to walk in the main menu,, youre gonna get stuck there forever.. 

sometimes after i click play i get error message.. then just click play again ..

Replaced the cache files

Like maybe 6 superstars some with 2 attires, Some with 5 but no more than 25 attires id say - Also i have updated the string file to add attire names but thats all be done correctly like i normally do. 

I have tried reinstalling WWE 2K17 twice now and always get the same Bloody rubbish. The only thing iv done differently is use updated renders but i cant see that being the problem can you? 

Iv tried clicking play like 10 times! Pulling my hair out here. Gonna reinstall one more time starting from fresh and not touch the renders see if that makes any difference.

Im replacing Roman Reigns, AJ Styles & Charlotte - All walkouts could that be the issue?

All of them ha! Do you think maybe changing the renders adjusts the values in Data editor when adjusting the attires?

ha dam it man!! That renders pack i built was awesome just looks like it isnt compatible if your adding attires boo!

I dont suppose you have a d/l link do you? i dont wanna download the wrong program and mess the third fresh installation of 2K17 up ha.

The guy who made it posted it on here somewhere in the PC section.

Did rebuilding the render files fix your Game crash Problem?

Just to confirm, does replacing a bunch of renders cause crashes? As I've replaced quite a few and a fair few stats with added attires, bit concerned about crashing if I keep going.

It will begin to crash when you get close to 32mb in your custom_b folder but if you check out @kim666's fix below (literally takes 2 minutes to do) then it will set you straight when you get there:
