shanafan Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 Maybe it's been awhile, but I am trying to add Jinder Mahal in my game but he's not appearing. I installed the future string with 2K17+. I download his pac file, and hex edit renamed it to 00074502. My pac ch file is called ch75402_p40.pac. As usual, I placed that file in my ch folder. I used the Data Editor to clean up the pofo and moveset files I have for Jinder (setting wrestler IDs to 754), and saved. I opened up 2K17, injected Pac Plus (since its 754). Using 2K17+, I injected the 754 pofo and moveset to 754, went back into the game, made a change to Aiden English, and saved. But, Jinder did not appear. I tried to use Cheat Engine to inject the pofo and moveset, but when I went to load the memory region and save, CE told me it was "highly dangerous to proceed" - a warning I never have seen before. So, I would say my main problem is that my pac file doesn't seem to be working. I thought maybe for some reason Jinder could be either Simon Gotch or K Von Erich, but nope, they are untouched. Any ideas?? Thanks! Quote
No One Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 try removing the "_p40" from the name of the file Quote

I don't even see a blank name in the roster list that could be him. Quote
No One Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 how about just re-numbering Jinder to a diffrent slot, @bravebird31's original Jinder used slot 491 Quote
shanafan Posted May 25, 2017 Author Posted May 25, 2017 Nope. Same issue. This is the pac file I am working with. It should be as simple as hex editing it to a different slot, right? I say yes because I have done this several times, lol. Quote
myk13 Posted May 25, 2017 Posted May 25, 2017 (edited) Probably just a typo on your part, but at the top of your issue you stated I download his pac file, and hex edit renamed it to 00074502. My pac ch file is called ch75402_p40.pac. As usual, I placed that file in my ch folder. Maybe the numbers don't match up properly. One is 745 and one is 754 Or My guess is maybe you're using an old outdated string file and the pofo has reflected the newer version, therefore the name Jinder Mahal isn't showing up in your character screen. He may be a blank space. See at the very top of your roster if you have one. Edited May 25, 2017 by myk13 Quote

He doesnt have that blank space he says, but i do agree with you about the numbers not matching. it gets me half the time Edited May 25, 2017 by Levon_BITW Quote
shanafan Posted May 25, 2017 Author Posted May 25, 2017 I'll like to say that I didn't do a typo, but I can check after work today. I think I will start with not editing his pac file, and seeing if the model shows up in-game. I think he replaces Kevin Von Erich, but not sure. Going to start there, and go slowly lol. Thanks for all the help! Quote

shanafan Posted May 27, 2017 Author Posted May 27, 2017 Continued without any luck. Checked any mistypings.. added the newest string file.. etc. Even when I drop an edited PAC file into the ch folder, nothing shows up in the game after saving. I am grabbing both pac files from this thread. I tried 491. The most basic method (adding an unedited pac file into the ch folder) is yielding zero results. Quote
shanafan Posted May 27, 2017 Author Posted May 27, 2017 He's working now! Yay... not sure how it just suddenly worked, but it's working nonetheless. Quote
