Right click a .dds file, choose properties and make them open with Microsoft Visual Studio 2005

You may have to navigate to the executable, this will likely be at

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\Common7\IDE\

The executable you want to choose is devenv.exe

This will then turn the dds files into a thumbnail like this.

you can now double click them and they will open in MVS showing the image, you can then choose "save as" and choose png.

Hi perfectplex! Thank you so much for converting the file!! :D

I have done the steps you said and ehen i open the dds file it shows an error message.. The hwdt 0 is not found or something.. I think its because it is just a free version of microsoft visual studios and they did not include it in that feature.. I downloaded the free microsoft visual studios community 2017 and no matter what i do it doesnt open there...

what version of visual studios you have? Community ? Professional? Or enterprise?

thanks lots perfectplex!!!!!! :D:D
